First proper outing for ZX14
Don't know if anyones intersted but am taking the 14 for it's first proper outing (groups of bikes/riders) with the World Superbikes down at Phillip Island (Australia) this weekend. Am wondering how many other 14's will be there.
Went for the GP weekend late last year (before I'd decided on the 14) and only saw the single 14 - didn't get a chance to speak to the owner. Have actually only seen one other one "in the wild" so to speak.
I remember when I first got teh new Blackbird they were pretty rare, but not to the extent the 14's seem to be (around here anyway).
Will be very intersting to see others reactions to the bike and how many others actually know what it is.

I still get..... What kind of bike is that ?? Even one year later.
Most that know what it is just say "Is it faster than a Busa ?" to which I respond "No it's slow" with a big :d

I had someone tell me yesterday, "That thing's pretty fast huh? I guess the only thing
faster is the Hyabusa?"
I said, "Guess again." Lol!
Unless they are into bikes, they have no clue.
You should have seen the look on the state troopers face when he asked how fast
my ZX-12r was, and I told him I could break any speed limit in the state without leaving
1st gear. That was classic! If only I had carried my camera with me.
Have fun, and ride safe.

Just returned.
Only saw 2 other 14's (out of a record crowd) and went round the circuit a few times (not on the circuit  )
One was black (being ridden - ZXXIV number plate - pretty cool - had pipes and rear indicators mod - didn't get a chance to see more or talk to rider)
Other was red - looked totally stock - (never saw the owner)
Never had I seen a bike get so much interest from the crowd. Every where I rode were people doing double takes or tapping friends and pointing. Whenever I stopped and left the bike there was a constant stream of passerbys pausing and having a good look.
All in all the bike was perfect for the trip, and definately still feels pretty unique around these parts (have seen a grand total of 4 now - including mine).

...you should see the look of disbelief on some sportbiker's faces after I pull them over and later tell them that I ride a ZX12R  ....especially if they ride a 'busa ....but I'll tell them only if they were cool to me and they were let go with a friendly warning
