Speed Channel/ zx 14/ Busa special
I was just wondering if anyone else saw the Super Bikes special this week in Florida and California. They had Roaring Toys on there quite a bit... and they had some drag racing. They kept the stoppies and wheelies etc... to a minimum. It was pretty good actually. They did say quite often that the zx14 was the fastest production motorcycle. They had a race between a 'bolt on' Busa and a 'bolt on' 14. I believe they ran inthe 9.60's... but the 14 won 2 out of 3. Florida definately has some show bikes on their bike nights!!! I am not really into that style of bike, but they seemed to look good. The president of Roaring Toys even stated that the bikes in Florida don't have a lot of twisty roads so many of the bikes get the wide back tire for drag racing. Almost every bike you see is extended also. I just thought I would bring it up in case someone is wondering if they should watch it or not. I say give it a watch. (Sorry if this has been talked about... I have not been able to have Stevefl clear the topic officially for me... but I DID do a search just in case)

I beleive that episode may have been a rerun, I saw the same thing a year or so ago

Can someone confirm that roaring toyz and the ZX14 Florida show has been on at least once (I think twice) now?

It has been aired a total of 6 times always the same result the 14 won 2 out of 3 against a spot on tested and tuned busa against a zero map straight bolt on pipe no tune 14 hmmm wonder what would happen if they had put a brock pipe and a spot on map on that thing... Also the busa was runnin race gas the 14 on pump gas

And don't forget little 120 pound Victor ( pro rider for Johnny Turbo) was riding that race prep Busa. While the rider of the zx14 was owner of Roaring Toys....You put Victory or me on that same ZX14 and say bye bye Busa!!!

Not really any good rider would have killed that Busa. Tonytooth at 180 pounds at stock wheel base ran 9.30s on his zx14 and that would have killed that busa..

Thanks ya'll, the thread creator busted me on his original post. I thought the show aired before and I thought a simple search would find past threads. I wouldn't have posted such crap above but wow was I singled out hehe

See... I told you I should have checked with the rerun thread police first.... and I did try to seach it too... guess you get the last laugh Stevefl... and I didn't bust you out either... I was just saying that you typically have something synical or rude to say... and I was just expecting it. I guess that is why I have only a couple hundred posts and you have over two thousand. Last night at the track some 'Busa rider was telling me that they asked Johnny to take it easy so that Kawi could look good for the shoot. He ran a best of 10.1 into a 15 mph headwind last night where everyone was loosing 6-8 MPH on the top end. I kept stomping him and had to ask if he was taking it easy to make Kawi look good....heehee.
