Valve cover bolts do not clamp - they have shoulders and you need to grind or add a washer.
I've seen 3 leaking and heard of about 5 more..............."normal" for the 06........and I don't trust a dealer to fix it :-/

My 07 has a little hint of a smell sometimes when I first start it, but I don't see a leak or any smoke. My oil is always full when I check it. Could be the exhaust I guess, or the new wearing off of it.

Took it to the dealer. I am friends with them and the tech. said it looks like the sholder bolts that hold the valve cover down bottom out to soon which does not put the correct amount of pressure on the gasket to stop an oil leak. My friends 06 Black ZX14 does not leak so maybe it is only on some models. They are going to replace the bolts, valve cover gasket and valve cover. Hope it works.
