Smokin tested a 20 shot tonight .........
Guys i really don't like N20 that much , i'm kind of an all motor guy but i said what the hell give it a shot ....I have been watching other guys that have N20 on their bikes and cars and one problem i see is they spray to much and to fast...These guys can't seem to put two back to back runs in the same numbers...I guess they think if a 20 shot is good a 50 will be better , well thats not always true ...If you can't hook it or you wheely you are wasting power...
I set my N20 with that in mind , i installed the twin nozzles way up in the ram air tubes to soften the hit.. I put a mico swith on the throttle bodys so i could trigger the N20 at wide open throttle......Sometimes i over think things but this time my plan worked great! I was able to trigger the N20 right at the 60 foot mark ( give or take a few feet) and had no wheelies and no tire spin ....In fact on my first pass i thought the n20 didn't come on !!!! Untill i saw my time ticket !!! Here is the break down on my best pass tonight.
60 foot 1.41
330 3.67
1/8 mile ET 5.55 @ 130.30 MPH
This was on pump Gas 92 octane
Brocks Smeg and Brocks race map..
I picked up a 1.3 in ET and 4 MPH with a little 20 shot and i'm sure i can get a bit more with a little fine tuning ... Smokin...

What kit did you use?
DynoTune Nitrous Oxide Systems i got off ebay for 199.00 ...Plus i added mico switch ( 12 bucks ) I didn't what to use the horn button or the starter button to hit the spray.. Smokin..

Sounds perfect. Now my next question if you have your airshifter bottle on the left side of bike where is the Nos bottle?

Bottle placement was a big problem, as you know there is just no room on a zx14 to put anything.... I will have to get you a picture of where i put it... I installed it right in front of the Muzzy air shifter Bottle ...I used the rear foot peg bolt holes to mount a bracket to bolt the bottle bracket to... I'll get a picture and post it Thursday ...It came out pretty good, people that saw it said it was cool looking ... The bottle is black and blended in with the rear sub frame ....Smokin..

Just dont "tune it" to far. I have a 25hp jet in mine ..... its nice and safe.
The problem with nitrous is - you keep wanting more and more. Its to
easy to just change a jet. Go have fun but put your tools away

What size bottle and how long is it lasting? Also - The new multi hub from power commander could be used to trigger the nitrous - I have now intalled that with the display and am working on attaching sensors now. So far I like it. What did you do for a map?

Lee, Why not build that extra 14 motor and get your extra 20+ HP and keep it all motor? I don't like NOS at all and will go to a turbo kit from ATP myself on the stock motor first. The same kit that iflyhi has, not the mr. turbo kit.
Have you thought about cutting the rear seat area out to put at least one of the bottles?

He will be back to answer himself, but he got I believe 5 1/8 mile passes on a 1.5lb bottle and still wasn't empty. I'm sure he will pull it off today and see just how much is left. On the motor question, a little shot of NOS is way cheaper than a full engine build. He has a bike that is fully streetable and still will blow away a lot of built drag bikes.

Bob i wasn't going to add more Jet .. I wast just going to tune the fuel ..I have it at 12% rich on the P/C and i think i can lower that to maybe 10% and pick up a little HP ...I need to dyno it first and see what i got as far as Fuel ratio ...Smokin..

I move the top 1/3 of the P/C to 12% .. It maybe over kill but i was playing it safe. It's a 1.25 bottle and i got 5 runs and a few little shots playing around the return road . I need to weigh the bottle and see how much i used but my last run was still a 5.55 so i think it still had another pass in it... Smokin..

I hate cutting things so i made a simple bracket to mount the bottle , that way i could remove it and leave no marks on my new bike ...lol... I would like to keep it all motor but 20 hp cost a lot and the n20 was 199.00 ...Cheap thrills for cheap money ... smokin..

I know what you mean by wanting more and more! I 2 dual 30 shot nozzles but a 300hp selonoid. I started with dual 18 with a small selonoid but like smokin said, I could not feel it and would question my mech on whether it was coming on or not! then boom. Holy hell this thing hits now! Will be in orangeburgh sunday if I don't have to work! be sure to post the tickets. Smokin always gives me something to shoot for. Com on smokin get that thing down to 5.3s. You know you can. Well at least I know you can. Rickey gadson, ryan schnitz, mike slowe, and smokin (lee) My list of bad men!
