valve springs?

Wuz the deal people. Now let me start off by saying that I know that I am going to change the valve springs here shortly. Hell I am probably going to rework my entire motor! My question is I am now about to run a wet kit with either an 80 to a 100 shot! I heard that the valve springs can hold up to this shot. OK NOW SOMEBODY PLEASE HELPPPPPP!!!! I don't know how true this is!

How would nitrous matter to the springs?

10psi of turbo and they still work fine.......

They will hold up for a while. In the long run it's cheap insurance to go with the stiffer valve springs.

Ninja 14 you ever seen a nitrous bike backfire when shifting? Thats not good when it backfires and bangs against the exhaust valve. I watch a Pro-mod backfire once and blew the freaking sidewinder CLEAN off the motorcycle.....

I don't think that could really be consideed a spring problem as much as a nitrous (setup) problem :-)

For me the concern is boost trying to open the intake valves and so far we have seen 280 and 300 RWHP on a couple of 14s and no spring problems from the boost making it.

Most but not all nitrous bikes I have seen give a least a little bang when shifting, especially with any kind of electric engine kill. And big bangs when spraying big nitrous. I would guess a good size nitrous backfire would put more pressure on the valve train than a small boost turbo set up would.
