need assistance
bought a wrecked zx14. The bike won't start, it will turn over, but the fuel pump will not work. There is an error message 46 showing, however when I changed it with another it works on the other bike, but not on the mine. This is what I have checked so far:
DOWN DEVICE/FUEL PUMP RELAY: (swapped with the one on my zx10, the 10 started with this device)
FUEL PUMP: by passed and tested the pump (working)
GROUNDS: checked all known grounds
the FI error is 46 (fuel pump relay)
I have found only 3 relays, 1 for the head lights (working)
1 for the flashers (working) and 1 for the fuel pump itself (working) Action: interchanged all relays with each other and tested the resistance (all working properly)
Is there any other devices that will keep the fuel pump/injection system from working?
does anyone have the full copy of the manual (pdf) I only have the first 316 pages.

Owner's manual states that the ignition has to be recycled after tip over. Try on-off-on with the key and disconnect-reconnect battery.

When I went down I turned it off and started right back up.
Just because the pump is turning does not mean it is pushing fuel - check for flow.

the pump is not pumping, however I know it works. straight wired the pump to ensure the unit is working.

Pump not pumping, but works.....
Pull the fuel line......bottom of tank..........see if gas comes out when the pump motor turns.........no smoking when you try it :-)

I tested the pump with 12 volts. You will hear the pump when powered
Thanks

Are you just trolling for a free soft-copy of a manual? I have to believe that you realize that hearing a pump try to work and it actually pumping are two different topics entirely.
Trolling is uber-ghey

okay, First Thanks to all that tried to assist with the delima!!!!!
I isolated the problem to the ECU, Thanks to zrx1220r solved the problem.
it was the ECU that caused the ignition/fuel problem.
So, anyone with an ECU, that works please give me a call
