update on knocking

I posted alot in a previous thread and my little engine knock. Well, I just wanted to say that I believe it's fixing itself. I still hear it after about 5 minutes of warming up, but after it's completely warmed up like after 10 or so miles, I don't hear it any more. No knock, no tick, nothing! I hope it clears up completely with more miles (1080 on it so far).

Good to hear that. I was worried for a while about the problems the people have with the bikes. The thing about the engine blowing up, is still worrying me. But then again like smokin is saying, he can't brake his bike so I guess the 14 is tuff bike. I love this 14!!!

dude seriously nothing that knocks is good you really need to have it checked out. maybe your valves need shimmed or something...
i believe you will regret this if you do not have it checked out.

I'm glad I'm half deaf then. I just know that when I twist the accelerator it goes, and when I press on the brakes, it stops. Just hope my extended warranty covers these things.

I was going to get it checked, but other people on here was having the same problem and they had theirs checked out and was told it was normal, so I didn't worry about it.

Smokin' has a post about how he resolved his knock. A little search on "counter balancers" or such may find it

I did that adjustment on my bike and it didn't help. It didn't effect the sound whatsoever.

A manual cct adjusted properly made my noise dissapear so mine seemed unrelated to the counterbalancers either. Kawasaki's have personality
