lowering straps

The local dragstrip will be starting test & tune next month. I was wanting to lower the bike just for the track and I figured straps would be best best for that. Couple questions, how much will this help on keeping the front wheel down, and are straps available for the rear or will I have to get the dogbones?

For the rear you could technically put straps on it I have never seen it done but it wouldnt be a good idea!! the straps would eliminate SQUAT which is very important straps on the front end help ALOT I would also recommend sliding the front forks down about an inch you can buy a set of adjustable dogbones for around 70 bucks then you can rais eit back up pretty easily after you race... you could try patricksperformance.com for the dogbones

go with with adjustable lowering links and the lowering strap. Being a part-time drag racer, it makes it nice to drive to the track, slam, race, raise, and drive home. You might want to look into an adjustable kickstand to make life a little easier while you bike cools between runs.

K, thanks. I'll go with straps in the front and dogbones in the rear. I think ebay has the dogbones and I think I saw an adjustable kickstand the other day on there.

not dogbones, but true adjustable lowering links.

I bought mine directly from spencer cycles. The dogbones work, but the adjustables make the ride home much more pleasant----especially on your lowers.

not sure if they are a site sponser, but their customer service is much like Brock's. They also carry a few items for the 14 that are not listed on their site---mirror block offs, etc.

Oh and the Brock's sticker that comes in the box may be good for another 3 horsepower.

take a look at both sights and compare the prices because the customer service is the same. If you want, I'll sell you my strap and links for 1 Grand

I typically used Brocks not only because they are #1 in customer service, not only do they personally research, race and design products specific for the ZX14, but also notice they also sponcer this site.

Ok, I was wondering. Do I need just the straps for the front or will I need mounting brackets for the straps as well?
