looking for stock flys out -map-

Hey Guys!

Just got my 14 last saturday.
Blue ....
So right now it's basicly stock other than I made a blue rear brake line.

Last night I pulled the flys and took the screen off the filter.,,,, at 2am
So have not ridden it yet and of course its raining here now. (florida)

Have a PCIII on order and looking for a stock bike flys out map if someone could share.. it would be greatly appreciated! twisted1@twistedbikes.com

Isn't there a place where we store and post maps so we don't have to mess with each other for something this basic???

If not I have a website... www.twistedbikes.com and could put a link on it for maps....
send them to me and I'll upload to the site ... just a thought...

Thanks guys!

Since you already have a PC3 coming, PM zx1kr and buy a map from him. If you had asked about this first you could have saved money by ordering a PC3 from him and had it come with the map already loaded.

Just go on the Powercommander website. They have a map for the European model with the flys removed.

BUY a map..........there are plenty around and you don't need it anyway. I actually just pulled my PC off when I did my AF tests and ended up leaving it off. I have a few maps if anyone wants one anyway......but the PC is not NEEDED if you do flies and pipes.

There seems to be a difference of opinion on this forum about whether the A/F ratio is too lean or ok with the secondary butterfly's removed. Depends who you believe !

If the engine management system does not achieve a stoichiometric air/fuel mixture but runs lean on light loads then damage will occur sooner or later. I have seen a map showing the ratio off-the-scale on partial throttle before re-mapping with the butterfly's removed, and remember that's the area most mileage is done in.

I can't tell you guys what to do but strongly suggest that if you remove the butterfly's without installing a Power Commander - at least take the bike along to your tuner to get the A/F measured on part throttle.

the partial throttle for cruising is 10% or less. I dont think that flies in or out change the air flow at this range. To prove this point , look at the maps on the power commander site and compare the map for a stock bike and the euro flies out map. At 10 % they are close. At 20% and up they differ alot.

the comparison I mentioned earlier does show the difference with flies out above 20%. maybe with a TRE the difference would not be as much , since the flies opened sooner?

Quite right about the <10% throttle Roy and it's fine at full throttle too but that still means that every time you accelerate on a light throttle, climb a gradient, ride into a headwind or even blip before a downchange the A/F ratio is wrong.
