step by step instructions please
I've done the search on how to remove the flys with no real luck. I know where they are, it's just this is a new bike and I don't want to mess anything up. I was told there was a thread up that tells you how to remove them, but I can't find it. If someone could post a link to it, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Important points are:
Tape the throttle so you don't get screws in the engine.
Tap screwdriver into the screws just a bit with a hammer, otherwise they can be hard to get a good grip on.
Put a zip tie on the actuator for the secondaries so it stays still. If you turn the secondaries a little with your finger it's easy to find on the left side of the bike with the fairings off. You'll see it moving.
Other than this points you can pretty much figure it out if you go. I'm a pretty novice mechanic and I had no problems othe than one stubborn screw. Dropped one screw onto the primaries too, but if the throttle is taped it's really easy to get out with a magnet. Try not to drop them if possible though, use a good magnetic screwdriver.

If you don't have a #2 magnetized screwdriver, but do have something like a speaker magnet laying around, you can temporarily magnetize the screwdriver by running it over the magnet like sharpening a knife.

I was reading the instructions more from zx14.net and it says to prop the tank up, but in the pics the tank is removed from what I could see. Is the tank hinged in the back or something?

No hinges but a length of 2x8 propping the tank up like i did makes it look like it is a hinged tank
