what have you powdercoated?
anyone else powdercoat their controls yet? Any issues?
My stuff is still in the shop getting powdercoated....
I pc'd my passenger pegs, heelguards, pegs, brake lever, shift lever and the adjustable kickstand from spencers. I'll post up pics when I get them all installed. Just wondering if anyone else has had it done yet. I did the same to my 12 and it REALLY made the bike look better.
Flat-black. I am the 'Anti-Bling'.

I am getting the same items powder coated this week, including some bolts, a set of fairing screws and can't forget the wheels.
I'll post once I get everything back on. Should be nice.

I like the idea of flat black stuff - the biggest eyesore that I notice every time I look at the bike is the heelguards... those things are huge and SHINY! I never thought of pc'ing the rear pegs, but that would really help too.
If you guys are pc'ing your faring screws, are you going with body color (red in my case), or are you doing those black too?

I'm not messing with the fairing screws. Way too much envolved. pretty sure you can by a set of anodized red screws that will accomplish the same thing. Not sure if a PC shop would want to do all those screws, fairly labor intensive for the cost...IMHO. I did leave the bushing in the brake lever, I tried to remove it, but its aluminum. The shop is just going to tape it off.
FYI---I think the heelguards on the 14 just suck. They are an odd shape and look lame. The first thing I did was swap them out with the powdercoated guards from my 12. Much better now.

Jeff a little tip on powdering those wheels... IF the factory coating i still on them it can be powdered strait over. They are powder from the factory so blasting the wheels isn't required. I had Sherri's 636 wheels done after she ran over Voz last May and the guy at the Powder Shop clued me in on that little tid bit. Her's turned out perfect and very smooth because the metal had a little extra build on it. Probably added a few onces to the total weight but nothing to worry about.

I'd love to get my rims done red. I like as much contrast as possible, so I'd like the black anodized bolts. Anyone know where to get a kit?
I don't have a problem with the pegs or heel guards. If I had them done I'd go with red.

Damn, they have some sweet mods. Can't select the candy red license plate bracket though, that sucks. I like the red bar ends too.
I like the Kuryakyn grips too, anyone know how comfortable they are though?

I'll get in touch with him in the near future, thanks for the info. Heel guards are ok, but way too pricey for me.

Could you give me a quick step by step on how you powercoat? I used to be a paint chemist for House of Kolor and Valspar, but I've never seen any powercoating done.

Lie2Me, do the operator foot pegs as well. Turned out of all the parts I did, I liked the looks of them the best. Went with the Stardust black though. Really looks good with my Area P carbon cans!

I got a quote for $75 to power coat my levers. Seams really high just for levers, I was thinking $40 tops. Anyone find a better price for levers?

Single pieces run about $10 each here. Did my 12 for $70. More parts you bring in at one time, the cheaper it gets.
