Pilot powers all the way, have 1700 miles on mine with close to 40 small burnouts and they still look very good, not even half gone yet.

Pilot Powers here too.
I have gone through the stock BT014's then a set of Metzler M3's and now the PP's. The PP's IMHO give me the most confidence in cornering. After i put them on I was able to scrape the fairings on both sides in the twisties without any trouble.
I kinda made em flat on the bottom from 2 really long burnouts I wish I wouldn't have done in retrospect but it was fun at the time.
I will use them from now on.

How many miles from the M3's, I have good reviews on these tires

I use and like Pirelli Diablo Corsa, many may disagree but they work for me. Haven't finished with them, so can't say on mileag. What I can say is that I didn't enjoy the BT014R that came stock, only got 1200 miles out of them. Use My 2c.

Has anyone tried the PP Road tire? It gives more mileage but I am wondering how much you give up for the mileage. I have seen it on the Mich. site but have never heard of anyone owning them. I ride about 75 miles a day commuting to work.

I was extremely impressed with the factory battleax tires for mileage. I don't ride for mileage, and between 5 nights at the drag strip and torturing them to tears on the street, I still got 5600 out of the rear wheel. But I sure love my pilot powers more, even though I won't get near that many miles even being more careful.

Many guys say they got great mileage out of stock, I still maintain I had one from a bad batch, hell, I wasn't even hard on them, just breaking the bike in.

I'd have taken it back to the dealer and wined like a little baby girl if it was anything except tread wear
