KICK-ASS new GTR1400 vids! Wow, first time I've seen these.... they are from Europe, and the definitely kick ass!!!
The 2nd vid is the killer one for me, for a couple reasons:
1) It shows the new LDL "Tire Watch" wireless air pressure sensor as standard equipment
2) For the first time (to my knowledge), it alludes to the nature of the Variable Valve Timing, and happily enough, it does NOT look anything like that stupid-ass VTEC from Honda, rather, it appears to change (advance/retard) both camshafts via this interesting flywheel-looking mechanism on the end of the cam.
3) Shows the electric windscreen motor layout... looks like screen is move by flexible cables!
4) Shows detailed animations of the tera-lever shaft drive
Enjoy, dudes... this vids are extremely polished and refined; it probably took some Flash developers a man-year of development time! :lol

Fuckin' Hell, that is awesome. I especially like how the pinion angle stays constant in relation to the trans output shaft! This makes for much fewer harmonics and longer life of the drive system.

All that's missing is the cane holder and the automated pill dispenser.

Wow, that's harsh!
Very cool bike though, I can't wait to see how well it sells compared to similar Japanese sport-touring bikes like the FJR and ST-1300. I wonder how long until Suzuki comes out with a real touring bike... is the new Bandit supposed to be in this class?

I noticed the single muffler.I thought they went with two on the zx14 for sound quietness yet the GTR14 has only one.

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

The VVT looks like oilpressure regulated retard/advance system for the intake only. Same as on some cars. Allthough nowadays they are going to electrically adjusted design but nice to now it is a real VVT.

Have you seen the size of that thing?
Exthaust is bigger than the Death Star,
but the Darth Vader Helmet Color seems to hide it nicely
I want mine in Black & with ABS
Heated grips & seats plus more power outlets
for heated underwear & charging my Nokia phone
Tank bra & bag, Topcase with a pad for the pillion
TRE, wait..that's in-build (true VVT)
PC IV - yes, we do need the next gen.
since the engine has VVT
and some seat modification
plus...?

I'm pretty good with the advancements....It's just, God gave me this 5 foot 4 inch body and at 158 +/- 4 lbs. I'm just not a huge fan of jumping on a 600-700 pound bike to get a gallon of milk.
Maine or Washington OK.
There is a chance Kawasaki will make this bike feel half as weighty but I can't trade in my beautiful blue for at least another 30,000 miles.
Dam I really like that FOB. Don't think that bank angle sensor or Stop switch will be as importaint on this bike eh. Hey maybe this will replace them?
swft, about 3 years ago I approched the major manufactures with the built in GPS. I was told it's not quite there yet, there needs to be a place for the CD or an outlet for updating. I'm guessing it's just a matter of time before these systems will be able to self update. Soon my friend very soon

Yeah, but the electronics probably control the oil flow so it would still be electronically controlled, just oil actuated. Controlling a rotating assembly via oil makes sense, any small leakage would not be a problem. Controlling a rotating assembly electronically would complicate matters as one would have to use slip rings or magnetic induction for the control.

The reason the muffler is soooo big is that it houses a catylitic converter. too bad it will come off for an aftermarket. I would have rather seen 4 into 2 for balance in the look.

The catalytic converters, two of the (similar as on 2006/7 ZX10R) are located under the engine, not in that huge grotesque can.
