Newbie from the UK

Afternoon all
new 14 owner here from England.
Up until recently owned an '06 ZZR1200 but met up with a guy who had just purchased a 1400. He found it a little bit too powerful, and took a fancy to my 12, so a deal was done.
Only managed to get out twice on it so far, the bad weather has kicked in here now so I think that most of my riding is going to be next year which is a shame.
Initial impressions are that the thing is awesome!!
Finished in Candy Blue, only got 2k on the clock.
Have tidied the back end up by getting rid of the big black lump of plastic known as a fender.
MRA double bubble is on order, as are a pair of Area P Stainless Steel slip-ons.
Just need to get a decent looking hugger and most of my "mods" will be complete.
Prior to the 12 I owned three Honda VFR's, a 750, an 800 and lastly the VTEC model. Always hankered after something with a little more "grunt" for two up touring and bought the last 12 available in the UK in May of this year. Would have been quite happy to stick with it until this deal came along. I have now got my grunt in excess ...
Enjoy touring in Europe and so far have "done" France, Germany, Holland & Belgium and hope to get down to Austria next year.
Hope to pick up some valuable information and tips on 1400 ownership.
Rob

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Oh! One other thing.....

I spent a while yesterday swapping the alloy fairing / screen bolts for black ones.
I didn't think the alloy looked right with all of the black on the rest of the bike.
Does that make me sad???
lol!

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum. Pretty soon you will be used to the "grunt" and you could be looking for more. Well this is the place to research all those go faster mod's like removing the secondary butterflies, 4:1 systems, Power Commanders, Speedo Healer's and so on.
