i would have to agree with toolman, but there is no bling on my zx14. it is a very versatile and flexible machine, and seems to do well in all aspects of motorcycling, including handling.
summertime- definetly a daily driver, havent done any road trips but ill disappear on my bike for all day and all night. high speed and corners keep me occupied and interested. i dont go to bike meets or anything because i dont feel like looking at some shitty 600s and their idiot owners, im not into stunting but 14 wheelies well. drag racing- nothing organized or competitive but when im bored i test my courage in launching from stoplights. the zx-14, for me, is just keeping me company until my 12 is up and running again... that is where my heart is- i like my 14 but i am in love with the 12.

I've found that it scares the ever loving shit out of me to ride on the street again. I tried it when I got the ZZR11200, and then again with the ZX14, but after picking up yet another M/C accident victim with a broken neck, I bought a trailer, and am back to just drag racing.
I may ride the ZZR up in the mountains when I get to Calif., but haven't decided yet.
Most of the accident victims I pick up did not cause there demise. They were usually hit by cars, or hit cars making left turns.
When was the last time you saw someone die, or even just break there neck at the drag strip??? When was the last time you got a ticket at the drag strip??? Time slips don't count.
There are places for me to ride up in Northern California where the traffic is not bad, and your speed is not more than about 60mph, so I might take that chance. But riding on I-10 in Louisiana is pure suicide just waiting to happen.

I'm from North Ca.( Marysville)..If you get above Marysville up into Oroville , Chico , Redbluff and Redding you will find old logging roads and old roads left over from the gold rush that are a true blast to ride..There are some great roads around the Wine country ( Napa) .. You can also head up to Grass valley to Reno but only in the summer unless you have snow chains for your bike ... Redding has a great old time 1/4 drag strip right next to the airport...Sac has a good drag strip also , well it was good 26 years ago when i raced there... ____________

Smokin, I'm from Yuba City originally. You know Billy Rohm??? That's my old stomping grounds. Moving back to Redding. I know all those roads very well. Highway 20 is a favorite, up to Auburn. Traffic is not to bad, and you can go balls out, its pretty safe.
Hammond? smartsville road towards and past Beale AFB is a hoote to. Used to go up that way to the lake, Englebright, turn around, and ride back home. Nice 1 hour ride, and plenty of twisties.
Be back home(redding) probably around January. Look for me to be as Sac and Redding drag strips next year with my turbo ZX14...wooohooooo.

My 14 is my daily driver-rain or shine, 365 days a year in NYC. I put 85000 on my 98 blackbird doing the same thing.....but the 14 is more fun.

I like it all. Mostly recreation and having the wind in my face, no real blingage but bike nights are fun. Especially whens yours is the baddest... or in that neighborhood.

80% fast-paced road riding (as many twisties as possible), 20% fast-pased touring (only to get closer to better twisties). No bling.

I ride all year and am either on the 14 or VTX 1800. Prefer the VTX in the winter. My 02 VTX has 65K+ on it and the 14 is about 120 miles short of the 10K mark.

Mine is used for drag racing mostly but from time to time, it has been a daily driver. The burnouts/ wheelies tends to come into play after spraying the shit out of her. What a rush!
