That would be great. One thing that you can offer is just the hot parts, fittings, wastegate, BOV and such and leave out the turbo. I can get turbos fairly for the low low and save a few pennies.

Will you use the stock style header for starters or make it all from scratch? TIG or MIG welded? Stainless or mild steel? What brand of wastegate and BOV? Can you make the kit to where the downpipe can connect to a stock style mid pipe/Brock's muffler?

Pretty sure Hans @ HMF will be doing the "hot parts"... his work is always nice and made of stainless.

250hp seems kinda low considering most of his Busa kits make 300+ on a stock motor.

For $3500 you arent getting much and its a starting point. A realistic number would be ~$5000+++ when its all said and done.

I can max out the stock motor easily for way less than $5K. I know it is nice to have an expensive pro kit for big bucks, but the bike don't know the diff.

I will only sell a kit.........turbo, electronic controller, BOV, all tubes, hoses and wires.....
The stock header is modified to hold the turbo and will bolt right up to the motor and stock pipes or slip-ons........aftermarket pipes need a modded pipe end - which I will get to. Optional is the wideband that I am using and electronic timing retarder (I'll show how to make a mod for the stock sensor if you want to go low budget) - PC is optional, but map is provided per sale.

I was trying to include an intercooler, but the engineers at the cooler company and I figure there is not enough room for a 500CFM+ unit or one that will fit, but be a poor performing unit. I have plans for an intercooler - trying to keep it outta sight, but for now there is not one and it is fine to at least 8psi and safe. 250RWHP is the minimum. Most people will shit themselves if they grab a lot of throttle at 250RWHP, but the kit CAN be set higher..........enough to blow up the motor if you want........

Fab work in progress - dyno in 2 weeks.....I hope.

Another thing:

I was doing this for myself.....my personal ride.
I know I can't compete w/ the big companies and their big bucks and reputations. I'm just a guy that happens to know a little something about machines and want to apply it to my own ride.......and if someone wants one - why not? I don't plan to get rich here - just enjoy myself and maybe spread it a bit w/o trying to dig into anyones life saving :-)

I don't want to hear any bitching about spending $6K plus for an installed pro kit when I fly past w/ the homegrown :-)

ninja14,

I too build turbo kits as well but for cars. I built my turbo kit for my Mustang and that thing makes 1177 RWHP at 32 psi of boost and also 1097 RWTQ. So I know what you mean about the big name companies and all because there are alot of guys that pay $5-6K for a kit and make less power than mine and that is even tuned well too.

I'm very glad that you are sharing what informatin that you are as I will be interested in a kit OR perhaps make my own as well. A few questions though.

How will you seal off the stock airbox?
What size turbo will be used for the standard kit (not too laggy of a unit)?

I don't want to go into a lot of detail until I am done and can just say it works..........and "laggy" is not a bad thing for a bike where you don't have a lot of weight or traction like a car does.

With under 1/3 of the boost that your car has the 14 should smoke it :-)

LOL. I hope that any 14(even mine) with that particular turbo can go as quick as last weekends 8.14 at 176 MPH that the stang ran at 3400#'s.

Yeah you are right about the weight differences and turbo lag with the bike as it will already still have the regular TQ that is applied as well as what manufactured airflow the turbo gives.

Thanks and definately post up when it is ready.
