So what is the deal???? I have had almost no time to visit this forum, work is a bitch. I am not up to speed on the 14 but am wondering if the Busa boys are in denial as usual. Has it shut them up? Or are they still feeling that their unconfirmed top speed thing the rags put up still keeps them afloat?

the zx12 will beat a busa fair and square as you know ted. a derestricted zx14 with pipe and pc will rip a busa with the same mods a new asshole.it's not even fair.
it sure must be hell being a double loser and carrying all that guilt.
9.2s can be had with these mods on a 14.............slammed,strapped.brocks pipe.pc,and custom map.......but it is still ugly.

Not to mention the far superior suspension and brakes compared the 'busa (some of us have never run a 1/4 mile and probably never will).
I'm sure Suzuki will best the '14 in a year or two, but Kawi's on top right now.

Ya know, I really like the bike. If someone else doesn't, that's cool too. And since things always change, no doubt the 'new hotness' will be something else in a year or two.

Never owned a busa, but the simple truth, as far as I'm concerned the 14 is the most awesome bike I've ever owned, and I've owned a few.

I'm so very fortunate, to be on these kind s of bikes during my lifetime. 12's, Boosas, 14's.....They'll all rock you just fine.

Suzuki should come out with a 1400cc supercharged Busa, have it making around 180 hp stock and offer different pullys for the supercharger to up the boost and make the motor take about 240 hp stock. update the brakes and leave the rest alone, it still has kick ass areo's. Now that may make me purcahse one.

Read in a cycle mag that they all have a agreament not to make more than 173 hp stock on new street bikes. Thought that was the reason for the flys on the 14.

Much as i love the SC idea, it'll never happen. Sc on low boost should yeild 200rwhp easy. full might with top gas around 240hp easy. Reason why it couldn't happen isn't because of production cost or reliability. Not that at all.
Lets imagine getting insurance on such a bike. Not happening man.
A simple 1397 punch up with headwork and cams would work wonders power wise (still would probably have to neuter it some for the masses like kawi did the 14). Improved suspension and some pounds shaved off with looks sharper and closer to that of the k5 Gsxr 1k's would seal the deal.
