corbin pegs

I got the first set of pegs that would not fit right and wrote corbin a little e mail about their product and never heard back from them.....guess what I got in the mail today...the new set of pegs that fit.....thank you corbin.....it might be time to order that seat now.I let them know that us guys at zx 14.com spend alot of money on our bikes and that the good or bad word spreads fast. we will spend our good money but give us something good to spend it on

Fed-ex has mine as we speak. Hopefully can mount them this weekend.

Just wondering about the left side... the right side the peg and the brake pedal spacing stays the same, the left side the peg moves down, out, AND forward... what happens to the clearance between the peg and the shifter? I havent rec'd my parts yet but I'm thinking that the peg to shifter clearance will change enough to warrant a different shifter? I was just wondering. Maybe a shifter from a 4-wheeler or a MX bike might do the trick? Something shorter with a bend to it ? I wonder if the shift shafts are the same diameter? Anybody come across this yet?

zerMatt... You NO like??? Have you tried to install them yet?

No, I haven't tried yet, I'm just kinda pissed at Corbin for releasing a POS the first time around. Plus, I've gotten used to the riding position with my Heli risers and I don't think I'm as interested in the peg relocation as much now.

I may try them out just to see how well they fit. If they go on with no problems, I may try them for a few weeks... we'll see.

I'm also concerned about the shifter lever... I've already lowered my lever 1-notch with the *stock* pegs because of my riding position. I'm not sure if it'll retain the "feel" if I move it down another notch or two because of this lowering kit. We'll have to see.

I'm still finding it hard to believe they released something that fit as bad those first ones did. Makes you wonder if they ever tried them on a bike.

Got "revision" 2 mounted today. They went on easy enough, had to adjust the brake pedal a little lower as in the stock configuration the pedal still hits the pipe. Now it's away from the pipe. The feeling of the brake pedal is ok and it's not too low.

The left side the parts went on real easy BUT..... as I wondered the shifter is now too close to the peg to accommodate my size 13 boot! It's real hard to get my foot under the shifter and it makes for a clumsy feel on the shifter! I went to my dealer and looked at shifters on different bikes and the one that caught my eye was on a KX 250. It is shorter and has a more pronounced bend to it. I didn't have time today but what I want to do is see if it will fit on the 14. If I can get a shifter that will work it will be ok... if not it will go back to stock!

Overall the comfort level is better as there is more room for your legs. I only did about 20 miles but it felt pretty good.
