CONT R.A. VS. MICHELIN PILOT POWERS

I have the Conti's on now and very happy with them. However their is an overwhelming support for the P.P.. So my question is. Has anyone tried both these tires. And what kind of mileage are you getting from the P.P. My R.S. should get about 4,000 hard miles, Including the 1/4 mile

I just bought a set of Pilot Power 2CT's, not yet mounted. I am also curious as to the mile rating of these tires. Michelin customer service in the USA is: 1-800-847-3435. I was going to call and ask that question, but they are closed on Sunday. I do not see that info on their web site. I will keep looking.

I have 4432 miles and still counting. I just lost the tread in the middle of the tire. So, I can run it a little longer, but not much. I was going to Dyno-tune on these tire, but it looks like I need to wait awhile before all of my mods are complete. So, I will wait until the Pilot Powers are about gone before the Dyno. I just don't want to run good tires on the Dyno, so I will wait until near the end of tire wear.

Got about 4500 on OE 014's and about 3500 0n PP's.
The PP's look a little better than the 014's did at that mileage, and stick better as well.

I should say the 014 are a much better tire than i thought they would be having run a few 010's into the ground

Its another tire debate

I buy two rears and one front at a time. Not sure of the mileage, but if its a lot then I didn't ride hard.

Harry, I have never run the Michelins but as you know I am presently running the Road Attacks. I just changed out the rear this weekend. Had a tad over 6400 miles on it. I got about 3700 out of the BTO-14. I really like the Continentals.

With that said, my next set will be Pilot Powers. I want to see what all the hoopla is about. Should need to change just about the time warm weather riding starts.

I wear 2 rears to 1 front everytime and I never do burnouts. On a 636 at that. If you're a hooligan, like speed, corners and WOT too much then no tires last that long. It's a hobby, they're not cheap...so don't baby it....give it hell.

lmao I was trying to breath and sticking out that way, lmao @ the side burns from the looks of the ZX9 bike and seeing how I only keep one a year that was back in 98-99. And it wasn't wasn't a Michelin tire , I was smoking one of Michelin's "competitors" that I was stupid enough to try on the bike for the twisty mountains of NC....I had to get rid of the junk wheels quickly. Its weird the tire never popped, I had to quit because it got too smokey.

Proved to me Michelins competitors are absolutely better to have for long distance "sport-touring"
