1/8 mile drags tonight......

Burnout and myself made some passes at our local 1/8 mile track ..I was still trying to run a 5.99 in the 1/8 mile with no luck at all ....I thought i might pull it off tonight because we had a good tail wind...Best pass of the night was a 6.02 @ 124.55.. The wind did help my MPH but did nothing for me ETs ...We had shitty air ( High 70s with 88% Humdity) The track was hooking great....All 6 runs i got were 124+ mph...
On a bad note....Burnout let me ride his zx14 , no i didn't wreck it... Burnouts last pass he told me he was spinning the tire down track. My zx14 had not spun all night with the tire down to 35 psi ....So we checked his air PSI and it was at 39 psi so we let it down to 35 PSI ....Next round i jumped on his zx14 to make a pass ....I knew something was wrong because it was having a hard time doing a burn out.... I line up at the tree and let to clutch go and i went right to the REV limiter, i let off and shifted to second gear and again went right to the limiter ...CLUTCH Fried !!!!! We both thought he spun on the last pass but it wasn't spinning, it was the clutch going south...Burnout had rode his bike some 50 miles to the track and they was no way he was going to make it home ..Lucky thing Johnny Turbo was there and offered to take Burnout home ...... Thats why they call it drag racing because sometimes it's just a friggin drag......Burnout get that clutch fixed , get that Brocks Smeg installed and let go to BMP....Smokin....

Smokin so close to your 5.99 bet yet probably seems so far away. Great MPH.

Smokin' eoe at your runs again. It sprinkled rain on my side of the bay at 7 and I was scared to ride out there...I was betting it'd be rained out and I'd be soaked.

There was one bright spot on an otherwise crummy night for me. On my first run I laid down a 1.456 60ft. without a strap! Smokin' said that this sometimes happens as your clutch is giving up the ghost. Frankly, I didn't know that it was possible on a stock wheel base bike. I've been wranglng the bike on launch with a 16T sprocket for the last two months, but switched back to a 17T last night. My advise to any one looking to race stock wheel base is to go with the stock gearing.
