I left the weekly bike and car show Sat nite following and group of 18 - 25 year olds stunters.
It was quite a show they put on. Stand up wheelies right down Scottsdale Rd. Heavy traffic bikes and cars (Mom and Pops0 just trying to get home. Nobody crashed that nite. It was a good show but REALLY stupid.

"poor chick" my ass......she made her choice by getting on the back of that bike dressed like that, no sympathy from me......same goes for everyone that makes that decision to ride without gear......you'll only do it once.

There are probably less abrasive ways of getting your point across. Here is some suggested reading....

You are right on this one. I don't care if idiots kill themselves as long on no one else is involved. All bike riders know there is a good chance of going down and if they are smart they will dress appropriately.
The girl on the back of the bike was an innocent bystander who probably assumed the bike owner would drive in a professional manner. If he were worth a shit he would have turned her down since she wasn't dressed appropriately. And then to show off in front of his buddies.... One of the most important assets a girl has is her legs. I would hate to think of the scares on her body when the bandages were removed.
Last night a Harley owner took a turn too fast here in town with his woman on the back. They crossed the yellow line then slid underneath a tractor trailer and the bike burst into flames. They were killed instantly.
Sorry, don't want to preach. Just don't like seeing innocent passengers disabled or killed because of a stupid drivers. If you want to takes chances do it on your own.

I have to say they make a bad name for all of us.
Society wantsa to take away our performance bikes, never mind limit them...
We pay high premiums because of them.
Cops have a hate on because of their idiocy...

yup. Total assholes for most part IMO.
Way to much truth to that .......... Society thinks all sport bike riders are stunters !

You guys are acting like you think this stuff is new. Did you really think motorcycle riders were pillars of society in years past?
I suspect high speed street riders and newbies result in more insurance claims than stunters. Either way, none of this stuff is new.

High speed street riding can be done quite safely if you use a little good judgement and don't push too hard. Stunt riders, on the other hand, are simply going to wreck from time to time no matter what. With proper gear you can stunt ride somewhat safely, but the bike is going to get smashed periodically at the very least. I don't mean stunt riding in traffic, that kind of stuff is just going to get you a toe tag sooner or later.
I've mentioned on another post that it's be proven that adolescents are very hard to convince that bad things can really happen to them. Young people should not be riding sport bikes without lots of training and supervision.
Some of those guys need to be removed from the gene pool, no question of that, but how many of us would have done the same thing at that age if someone hadn't taught us better. I'd hard to drive safely when the only people giving you advice are other young people who don't see the danger or just don't care if you die or not.

A good motorcyclist is one who has a desire to reduce and manage risk. ...on the flip side of that...you're an idiot waiting to reap the consequential benefits of stupidity. Risk = Consequence. Willing to take risk? - be prepared to accept the consequences.
I don't know if you're old enough to remember Flyboy when light twins were very popular, 310, Barons, etc. pilots loved them, 190 kts at non oxygen altitudes, great forward visibility, insurance companies were naïve about the risks, then they discovered that twins had a 10 times greater fatality risk than singles and overnight most couldn't afford them anymore, a couple years later light twins were gone.
This could happen to sportbikes with all this stunt shit and no thanks to the show Superbikes
