Are you upset that we dont try to sell you anything?
hey... we make the odd shirt here and there, but no one makes any dough off of it... we make them fer fun...
but are any of ya pissed that we dont whore ourselves out selling crap to ya?
How do yas feel about that?

It doesn't bother me that Bikeland doesn't sell anything. IMO, there is little difference between saying "buy from me" or "buy from my sponsor". Truthfully, it doesn't bother me either way. I think everyone here respects the forum business model and knows there is nothing wrong with making a buck

thanks TJ... BTW, the honest truth is that we're sure that the site's sponsors would hope you'd buy from them, but officially we're totally neutral... buy whatever you want from whomever you want... no skin off our teeth. We dont make money from sponsors selling product.
Our only goal is to keep the lites on, and maybe have a beer or two

actually we're hoping to make some nice polar fleece jackets in time fer Christmas... now that I've posted this idea, I'm sure that Greg will suddenly make some too

Seriously though, I think the first to market with an air filter for the 14 that will even only produce a minimal dyno gain will fair very well

Selling stuff is no problem - it gives us a chance to wear something that says ZX-14 on it, right? The only other item I've got with ZX-14 on it is a stupid baseball cap that Kawi was giving away for free in Daytona...
Sell away... if your budget allows. I don't do fleece though... too hot in Texas 95% of the time for anything that warm.

You need a clothing line....hats, beenies, shirts...whatever. Something like... "your daughter enjoyed my 14".....or "smack a ho..ride a bike"....something. I would buy on of those....

Hey.... people bought most of the stuff, but there's still some shirtz left.. We'll do another run just before Christmas...
Back to the topic at hand... Do you think that a website crosses boundaries of impartiality when it whores itself out selling product?
It's hard enough to remain impartial when you have sponsors on board... how does the playing field change if you start to sell that stuff?
How can you trust any informaiton you get from a site who's sole purpose is to sell you something? How do you know the information you're getting isn't just another line from another used car salesman?

I like the fact that there's no selling on the site.......cause your right, we won't be able to take any of the reviews at face value if the site is also selling the product......if we want that, we can just go to that company's web site and read their write ups.........don't change what isn't broken fishy......
