AMA/Prostar RWHP, ET, & MPH Estimator
Found these caluclators on the AMA Prostar site that estimate RWHP by plugging in total weight and 1/4 mi. MPH. They also estimates E.T. and MPH for a given RWHP and weight. I was thinking that they might be credible calculators, well....because they are hosted by a drag racing sanctioning body. My results, however, seem to be very generous with the RWHP right at 169 (I'm running stock). Curious what others' results are? Also, isn't the wet weight of the stock 14 around 555lbs?

If I use 555 for the bike and 216 for me, it says I have 215 hp. I always thought I have to be around 190 to 195 to run the mph I've been running.

Mine read 183 hp 655 pounds with rider ... I only had one gallon of fuel when i weighed it... I'm 150 pounds so the bike is right at 500 pounds...
Bently your x14 can't weigh any more than mine so 716 pounds ... That's is what tonytooths bike weighed on the same scale, tonys bike had a full tank of fuel and tony weighs around 180 ... So yours would be 712 pounds @ 152 mph = 195 hp..
I would guess the difference in HP between your bike and mine would be the street map Vs the track map? Smokin

Bently, you should have dropped some serious weight with your pipes. Solving in reverse for your estimated RWHP, puts the total weight around 715 lbs. I searched the site and found someone who had weighed in at 518 lbs with a full Muzzy stainless pipe and a 1/4 tank of gas. That's an 18lb delta.
I'm also guessing on what I weigh suited. I plan on stopping by the grocery store on my way to the track to check next time, but I'm at a loss on where to weigh the bike.

Okay, these calculators seem to line up with Brock's dyno results for street and track maps using his megaphone. The humbling part is what it says my ETs should be.

No wonder why you are flyin', I'm 760 bike & rider with the pipe on now with 3 gals. gas that's 105 lbs. difference you need to start strapping a passanger on let's play fair.

My bike weighed my bike in at 495 (yes it's stripped)...my weight....and it comes out really close to my ET. It says i should run 9.21 at 147.....my best was a 9.23. So this is very close. I have used this for the last couple years and it always gives me a good ideal of what the bike will run.

If you play around with the #'s alittle bit, it's better to have 10hp then 20 pounds off the bike.

Your signature posts some good ETs. Just curious if you are geared down given your MPH?

Only 3 teeth up in the back from stock. I could and should go lower but it is still a full time street bike. I'm just shifting into 5th right before I cross the line.
