Muzzy air shifter drag strip test ........
Tonight we had some great air at the track, temps in the high 60s and low humidity..Kind of rare for FL.....My Muzzy C02 air shifter works like a dream, shifts are so smooth you allmost don't know they happened. .. I can't see any reason to make any changes to the factory Muzzy setting...I did have some problems but had little to do with the shifter ...For the life of me i could not get a good 60 footer ..The cool air had my zx14 making a lot more power and i just could not controll the first gear wheelies... ( more power is not a bad problem to have )
The real problem happen in second gear, when i shifted to second gear the bike would pop up into a hair raising , hang on for dear life wheelie....This was a problem only if the front wheel was still off the ground from first gear....If the wheel was on the ground the second gear wheely was only a few inches off the ground... It's going to take some seat time to get the hang of the new set up
I didn't get any good runs in with the problems i was having but i did see some great MPH changes ...My best past MPH in the 1/8 was 121.60 and tonight i ran 123 MPH with the best being a 123.60 ......My avg 60 footer range in the low 1.50s and tonight i was stuck in the mid 1.60s My best run of the night i had a 1.63 60 footer and run 6.17 @ 123.60 and wheelied in first and second and had to let off in second to keep from looping the bike...My second best was a 1.70 60 foot ( i bogged it hard off the line) and run 6.18 @ 123 ... Far from my past best runs for sure.....If i can get a 1.52 60 foot times back it should put me real close to 5.90s in the 1/8.... 5.90s in the 1/8 with stock wheel base is my goal..... I think it's possible but it may take a few more trips to the track to get it.... Smokin....

Nice.
Base on the 1/8 MPH in your signature, you woulda had a 5 second pass had you not had the problems. Thumbs up. I wonder with that 1/8 MPH, what would that equal in the 1/4?
Forgot to ask, is the Muzzy airshifter that you have the one that automatically shifts with engine RPM or do you press a button? I'm in the market for a airshifter myself.

Now your 60fts are where I'm at LOL. Good mph smokin. I figured when you had your shifter working you would run more mph. was that still the street map?

Good to hear that the airshifter is working, that seems to always be my gremlin
when I go to the track. Have tried anything on the 14 yet but I pray that I will be
able to just bolt up the airshifter and it works
Smokin will you be in Gainsville for Prostar? Depending on your back half gains you could get into the 9.0's if you get those 60's back down and 330 below 3.9's. And if you are indeed still running the street map and not the race map you defenitely have more.
Good luck your inspiring me to turn the throttle hard when I do get a chance to race.
I may have to go to Kansas City (4hours west) just to race before weather gets worse.

You have to press the horn button but i'm sure you could hook it up to an auto shift if you like ... Smokin...

No i'm not going to the prostar this time around, maybe next time ...You would like the Muzzy air shifter, just plug and play....Kind of pricey but it works .....Smokin...

Bently i'm going down to the 1/4 mile Sat and see if i can get my 60s back down to the 1.50s ... with the added MPH in the 1/8 mile i should run 152 to 153 mph in the 1/4 mile ...My bike has been picking up 29+ MPH on the back half.......I would think it would run 9.20s maybe a 9 teen if i can get a 1.52 60 again.....Last night was a bear, i just could not get the feel for the bike........Well shit happens ...lol...Smokin..

Isn't it nice not having to get your feet to the pegs trying to shift! Plus you can get your weight father foward bye putting your feet father back. I dont know if i remember how to shift my bike without a airshifter...lol
