quote: Probably a stupid question, but after reading the comment about locking the ECU into 1 gear I was curious if the PC with this map (or any other) would affect the gear or shift indicators?
Locked is locked.
If you lock a gear 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 the indicator shows that number at all times and the shift/launch light is fine. If you lock it in N then the shift light is gone, but the green N led works either way.
I am putting on a turbo and most likely will lock it to 6th so my new shift light can work - have been running locked in N for a while.
A tune that works in 6th is ok in 1st, but a tune that is good in first is not worth risking to run in 6th - my view anyway.
You have to dyno this thing in 5 stock b/c of the spin (I did anyway). I may have to dyno in 6th and that is fine b/c I will be locked in 6th anyway. I am not so concerned with max power from teh tune per gear vs. moter safety b/c the turbo will more than make up for what I may be missing :-)
Ordered a water injection kit for it today as well...........I want it for myself and it can be an option in the kit........if I get that far :-)

I have your flys out map and could not be happier. This has the best bang for the buck mod you can do for the 14.
