No Flies, Stock Exhaust, PC3usb DYNO TUNED & Successful!

Well, Got the Stock Exhaust & No Flies Map done today. Quite successful. Countersteer was the donor & the bike picked up 12hp & 16tq @ 3800rpm. Picked up about 5hp Peak too.

I took it for a quick run & within the 1st 100' I knew I'd nailed this puppy. I spoke to C-Steer after he rode her home & he sounded very happy. He'd said that the powerband had smoothed & the response that was not there before was there enough so that he was rethinking the 16t frt. sprocket.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in acquiring this map call me at the shop.

Hi there zxi kr.

I am new to this forum. As per previous post, you will note that there is no decent tuner in my area. Will it be to much to ask for a copy of this map you did? I know a might push my luck since my new status. Can't call you, but if you mail it, it would be perfect.

Thanks, Riaan.

Been wondering the PC3 USB and all the tuning with flies removed - does the PC allow tuning for independent gears because in another thread there was this dynoing on different gear and there was a lot of difference in hp and tq especially 1st and 2nd gear. After testriding the ZX14 it came apparent that it needs the flies removed but been wondering about the tuning abilities of the PC3 and their website wasn't very informative...

No it doesn't unless you get the ignition module and hub I believe. I'm not 100% sure whether it's the PC3 that can be tuned per gear or only the ignition module though. ZX1Kr and Brock would know for sure. It has been indicated that tuning per gear may reduce some HP though...

NO! The ignition Module is just liike the PC. One map and it alters every gear by the same value.

I think (and i'm not 100% sure) that Brock mentioned in an e-mail cc'd to me, that you have the ability to map the timing in each gear on it's own with the ignition module and the HUB. At least that's what I understood from the e-mail...I could be wrong, but thats what I got from the e-mail. He also said that in reducing the decel popping by mapping each gear, there would be some power loss...again, I could have misunderstood.

Well, this is a straight-up pc3usb map. No ign. mod. or hub. She ran real sweet & C-Steer says shes smoothed out real nice & pulls the way it should. I just want to let those that called or e-mailed me, I've been doing Dr. appt's all day & was not in at all today. I'll be making return calls tommorrow.

ive been waiting for a chance to actually ride this thing since the flies have been out- was hoping to do so this afternoon but it was pouring rain. i believe tomorrow is supposed to be nice, so i will comment on this.
i rode this home the other night after Bill tweaked it and so far i am very happy, but havent ridden enough to form a good opinion on it. you guys were right- removing the flies definetly woke this big girl up! very smooth and predictable too- i now have that low end grunt i was looking for.

I would like to think this is possible.. Maybe I've fell asleep at the wheel and let this one slip past me. Maybe Brock will comment about this some.

For those who've emailed inquiring about this map.

This map is available from my shop. The catch is I will only supply map w/ a new PC Sale. If you already have a PC. I'll make it available for $40.00. & the agreement that the map doesn't get out of the hands of those whom purchase it.
I spent 1/2 a day at my shop setting up the bike & Dyno'ed C-Steer's bike on the arm to make this map.
I figured it would save everybody some loot. But, I've got to recover some of the loot it cost to make.

If you lock the ECU into 1 gear then those problems go away.......and it's 1 tune. I can wheelie from about 2500 in 1st now.........and it pulls like mad in every "gear"........I am shifting, but it is set to deliver 1 map/ignition at all times.

Our PC w/ the map loaded is 319.00 incl. Shipping intercontinental US. w/ the map loaded.
Tech support is also part of the ticket.

Although, I try to cover any tech issues via Bikeland.com so all that view are aware of any tweaks.

Probably a stupid question, but after reading the comment about locking the ECU into 1 gear I was curious if the PC with this map (or any other) would affect the gear or shift indicators?
