Actually Ricky's personal bike (black / gold 14R) is 62" and runs 8.90's with a DaveO tune and Brocks stuff...

I figure it like this, there is always going to be a faster bike, eventually another model will come out that will walk on a ZX-14, that's life! But I take pride in knowing the head light on my 14 isn't shaped like a clit, such as the busa's!

I had a guy today tell me tht his 2001 r6 with a 2003 r1 motor will do 210 MPH and that he

routinely outruns busas in the 1/4 mile... it was a happy ending I actually talked this guy into

going out to the port (one of the places we race) and with prolly 25 people watching who

had never seen a 14, I put prolly 10-15 lingths on him on an average of 4 passes then got a

chance to run against a few busas the only one that beat me was a guy we call big mike,

he has a 1397 9in over lock up and an air shifter he beat me by 3-5

Kickass blackmagic!

I been riding a busa for awhile. I always liked seeing other bikes. even zx-12's which I rarely see. Only 14 i saw in person was a black one sitting on the dealership floor. It wasn't there for long though. Loved the seating position of the bike though the pegs could be up a bit higher for a more "sporting" feel. Still could have fun on one i know.

I had a similar experience with a couple of guys, one on a brand new Gixxer 1000 and one on a CBR600 with 4,000 in the engine. We did some roll on's just cruising around. Actually I just thought they were just playing around until we got off our bikes and they were talking about how fast each other's bikes were. I almost ate one of their tail lights a couple times and I don't think I got past 8,000 rpm.

I wish I knew more people with bikes around here. I see them all the time, but I don't know any of them. Most of them are 600's and few 1000's. A couple of busa's too. The only place we congregate is the drag strip, but those guys are from out of town. Just reading your stories makes me wish I had more people to ride with.

I'm a really big suzuk and kawi fan, but i've got to give credit where it's due and the busa and 14's are both really fast bikes, so lets jus be happy that there are bikes out there like that that allow us to be able to have dragbike platforms. Speed is my ultimate high and i get plenty of it lol.
