Busa's are one awesome machine...I had 2 and loved 'em both. Only riders who've never had one would say they suck...meantime, they've outsold all other BB bikes since their intro...guess they must realy suck
One great thing about Suzuki bikes...no heat issues, not on the Gixxers or the Busa's...ya they definitely suck:d

Yes and they will continue to out sell the 14, just the way it is. I like it that way. I have the only 14 at my track right now. Guess I like being different.

My last 3 bikes were Suzuki's so not to bash just curious, don't the Busa's have a heat issue? I recently had an 06 gsxr1k and had no issues but I have seen some Busa's puking on the street here in Florida. Recently we saw a brand new stock aniversary Busa doing this on the strip in Ybor city at night.

The only time we ever had trouble with a busa overheating was in parade type conditions, other wise they run no hotter then the 14.

I dont care what anybody says about either 14 or busa they are both awesome bikes and are both very good dragracing platforms, i own a busa but i have love for both machines they are both aweeeeeesome. My friend has a 14 and we both respect each other enough not to talk trash on the others bike, because at any given moment or time either could win in a race.
quote:What's with these Busa dick heads ... I rode my zx14 down to CycleGear to see about a tank protector .. I get off my bike and pull off my helmet and this jack off walks up and said how fast is it ..I say i have run 9.30s and he said that not bad but my Busa runs 8.80s stock ...Most times i just brush it off and keep moving .. But before i get out of hearing range he says that he races with Ricky Gadson and that Rickys bike is stock wheel base runs 8.60s...I inform him that Rickys bike is at 64 inches and has run 8.17 at Atco.. He then said whatever buddy in a real ass hole voice... I said get a f@#ing clue and head into the door...
I tell you i have had it with these Busa loving butt munchs...No more MR Nice guy for me, next guy that lips off is going to get a hear full and an offer to meet me at the track for a beat down by way of zx14 power ......Smokin...

I just don't get all the bike bashing. I guess it's just human nature. I think any bike you really enjoy riding is an awesome bike. I have absolutely no use for Harleys, but for some people, that's the shit.
Anyway, I'm working offshore right now and a guy tells me he knows a guy who runs under 5 sec in the 1/4 on his Busa. He says it's stretched with wheelie bars and all. I'm sure he's full of shit but, what's the fastest anyone has actually run a Busa? I'm kinda thinking even the top fuel bikes don't run under 5 sec huh?

Top fuel bikes run in the 5.80's on a very good pass. Most of the time they are in the low 6's. No busa has ran close to a 5 anything. If he would pf said he knows a guy who can run in the 5's in the 1/8 that could be true.
kcir,ehh, that's where I go, infrequently but that's the closest place I have,how does mokan compare ????

Don't know why you guys don't keep an open mind about the times people are posting. My Vmax ran sub 6 seconds for the 1/4, just had a very fast rolling start!

I have been wanting to chat with someone who had a zx and try kcir. I haven't been really happy with my 60fts. when it was stock wheel base with the factory tire. I did some easy 1.69 and 1.72 60 fts. Now that I stretch it and put a shinko on it. consistent 1.8's???????? It really baffled me. I'm not going back until I slap an airshifter on it next spring.
