Sounds about right for a guy your size. I think 9.90's wouldn't be too hard. You could probaly go with more gear and have you tried cranking on your spring? I got mine turned all the way done...so it's as stiff as it will get. Good job!!

Mine does the ol'e chain slapping thing too when it's loose. I'm 7 inchs out and you have to run it pretty tight to keep it from doing that. I think a lock-up will be in your future with a guy your size. I went thru 3 clutchs this year alone. I'm calling MTC next week and putting the order in for mine. The stock tires are the shit...never had a traction problem with mine. i wore it out in 500 miles and threw on a shinko. Just to give you a compairson there is 2 tenths between my cousin and me and he's 60 pounds lighter. Your doing a good job though.....

Thanxs flatout, i thought i was the only one that has burnt the clutch out so soon, i am on my third clutch and when i told the guys at the track they didnt believe me until i went in the trailer and got the old ones to show them, i am running Zx11 fibers now and they are holding up well.

Are the zx11 fibers any cheaper then the 14? Are the pads on the fiber wider or are they the same?

All things considered yes they are cheaper but thats up to who u buy them from, and yes the contact pads are larger and the plates are not wide enough to worry about stack height.

I replaced all the fibers in mine with that one large one in the basket....the very first one you see. I took all the ones in the middle out and used all the larger pad ones. They seem to bite alittle better and i shimmed the springs...140 thou...

Why didnt u just buy springs, all the 14's that are running here have race springs in them and the riders seem to like it.

I done this waaay before they had springs out....and the 25 cents i spent on washers work just as good. Alot of stuff i did to my bike was back in June when i got the bike. Wasn't anything out for it in the aftermarket.
