Dude, the bike is alot more peppier than with that pre-loaded map. I should know, I rode it for 2 weeks before getting it custom mapped the other day. Great improvement throughout the powerband! Rode 260 miles today and gained nearly 25 more miles on range. Very noticeable power when dropping gears from 6 to 4 at 65, steering got very light...didn't do that prior to the custom map. I know I can get another 6-10HP by removing the air filter, using MR9 and a Brocks meg. If I was hung up on HP, I'd do it but I'm not. It's setup for the kind of riding I do, besides - I'm happy with the results and the looks/sound of the Yosh pipe--that's what counts right?
Yup that's all the counts....

Can someone explain the distance/times reasoning in drag racing for 60 ft, and 330 ft.? Doesn't the 1/4 mile time and speed determine the end result?
And aren't all drag strips set up for the 1/4 mile or are there some shorter strips that can only handle a 1/8 distance?
Don't know much about drag racing but would like to learn.

Yes 1/4 mile is your ultimate goal, but you can learn a great deal from you 60 and 330 ft times, like how soon you are getting to wide open throttle.

Not all tracks are 1/4 some are 1/8th. The 60 ft and 330 ft are measurement marks (there is also a 1000ft ) that break down your rate of acceleration helping you to analyze what you are doing, when and where on the track you are doing it. They tell the story of how the run went.
I raced a 12R last night with extensions and he could hole shot me every time. On the other end of the track, however, I could chase him down, gaining MPH, and overtake him. When we would compare our slips he had better reaction times, 60ft, 330,ft, and 1/8 mi numbers but I had better 1000 and 1/4 mi. numbers.
When you look at someones 60ft times you get an indication of how well they launch out of the hole, i.e. traction, wheelie control, torque. Sometimes when you make adjustments you can make a gain on one section of the track that will cost you at another, so there is a lot of analysis that can be made from these measurement points that help you to become quicker across the overall 1/4 or 1/8.

Ok, I haven't read all the posts' here, but here's my take on this. I went from a Muzzy S/S 4 into 1, to a Brock sidewinder. I only drag race my bike, so I wanted the sidewinder. With the Brock supplied map(s), I noticed no change in MPH or ET. I have gotten better at launching the bike, but still don't see any changed in the MPH. Not knocking Brock, I love the sidewinder, just saying that I don't see the numbers I had expected.
What it boils down too is money. My Sidewinder cost me about $1000. My Muzzy cost me about $600. It's all about dollars per horsepower.
Brock's pipe is very good for drag racing, and that's what I use it for. Rob's pipe was better when I was riding it on the street. And both Rob and Brock admit this.
So, just decide on where you want to ride the bike the most, and how much money you are willing to spend.
Rob, I'm coming up there for that $1000 someday

Brock stated that you would not see gains with the sidewinder Vs a Smeg unless you have a heavy modded motor , stroker, cams, compression ect ....But we are getting off base here .. the test was a Muzzy s/s oval can Vs a Brocks Smeg ... It has been proven by me at the track as well as others that the Brocks Smeg made better ETs and MPH..... One guy has posted up his Dyno test Muzzy Vs Brocks on another thread >>> http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=27119&set_time= I feel it was a fare test , others may feel different.... The testing we have done between the MUZZY full system and Brock's GEN3 do not show the results you all claim. The dyno numbers we get show the GEN3 pipe down 41/2 hp up to 7,000 then the same till 9500, then the GEN 3 is up 11/2 at 10,000. We could have done the same thing however we believe the most power under the curve is best. I will put out this challenge. I will personally give $1,000.00 to anybody that shows me that the Brock/Hindle ZX-14 pipe makes 8 more HP than a MUZZY ZX-14 pipe.

badzx12r, you have the $1000 to put up for yourself? anyone could have "taken" Rob Muzzy up on this offer without having to risk losing their own money in a bet. youre too cheap to even pay for a custom tuning and tried bashing Muzzys for their baseline map- i doubt youve got the dollars to put up for yourself. nothing more than more trolling for attention. you are going to make yourself look like an asshole... again.

Mr. Muzzy I had my bike dynoed on the same day same dyno same bike switched between your pipe and the Smeg by brock took an average of 5 pulls and the SMEG made 9 hp more at peak and and 3 ft/lbs of torque more at 7000 that was with the supllied maps with no changes made if I fax you the dyno sheets will you send me a 1000 dolars or does this offer only count for the Gen 3??? no disrespect intended I am a fan of Muzzy products ESPECIALLY FOR THE MONEY... (althoug I cant figure out why your pipes are so reasonable and EVERYTHING else you sell is higher than a cats back) I actually just put a new muzzy pipe on my track bike 05 ZX10
