quote: The dyno numbers we get show the GEN3 pipe down 41/2 hp up to 7,000 then the same till 9500, then the GEN 3 is up 11/2 at 10,000. We could have done the same thing however we believe the most power under the curve is best.
Muzzy as a consumer I appreciate you putting this type of comparison information out there. That way the guy who wants the lower RPM grunt can choose the right pipe for his style and the guy who wants the the extra HP at 10,000 can do so as well. Do you have data comparing your M10 to Brock's Street Meg or your Megaphone to his? Does the above mentioned relationship/design approach hold true for megaphones? Also there is no dB data for the M10 on your website. A pipe is a big $$ purchase for me and I'm just trying to get as much information as I can before I make my choice.

The ZX-14 M10 produces about 2 more peak hp than our std. muffler. The M10 also has a more aggressive sound (louder).

But this is another clue you've provided to me in developing a profile on you. Besides I wouldn't be coming up there on the account of you. I conduct business up there every couple of months.
You'd be surprised on how much I know about you already just by the passive information you passed on with your responses. I'll let you guess on what my other skill is.
You made the threat pretty obvious and I'm not worried. It doesn't take ANY skill to find my name, wife's name, children's names, address and telephone number from the internet and my postings here. NO special skill required, FUCK a simple google search would get me, I'm not secretive, I don't hide, I don't have to. You think you're so clever, go ahead, pat yourself on the back.

1965 the reaction time only matters when you are racing against an opponent. it is the difference between when the tree lit and when you broke the beam to start the et clock. reaction time has nothing to do with et. doh

Dyno'd Today
181RWHP and 108ftlbs torque....STD numbers Not far off from another 14 owner who's running a Brocks Meg and not the Gen3 version either. Only 3hp difference the system I'm using and the Brocks meg equipped 14.
Responses should be interesting.

The Yosh full race exhaust is bitchin, peformance and looks. If I wanted max power I would get the Brocks meg-no doubt the meg is best in attaing top power, but I can live without 3-4hp. The meg just don't look right on the 14 to me. IMO. From what I've seen many are using borrowed or preloaded maps, these guys are losing a good set of ponies without a custom map. I picked up 6hp over the preloaded map with the specific mods I have. Flies out, full exhaust and modified stock air filter (wire mesh pulled).

If you want to get technical a sidewinder would be the way to go for max ponies.

You may have picked up 6 hp with a custom map on a dyno But a dyno is not the street where ram air comes into play ...Brocks preloaded maps are done on a dyno and then remapped at the track..Test test test and test again.....So you picked up 6 hp on the dyno but you may have lost HP on the track...

Good point Smokin, brock says the maps that run the best on the track won't make good hp on the dyno. He sent me a dyno map for high dyno numbers.

Dude, the bike is alot more peppier than with that pre-loaded map. I should know, I rode it for 2 weeks before getting it custom mapped the other day. Great improvement throughout the powerband! Rode 260 miles today and gained nearly 25 more miles on range. Very noticeable power when dropping gears from 6 to 4 at 65, steering got very light...didn't do that prior to the custom map. I know I can get another 6-10HP by removing the air filter, using MR9 and a Brocks meg. If I was hung up on HP, I'd do it but I'm not. It's setup for the kind of riding I do, besides - I'm happy with the results and the looks/sound of the Yosh pipe--that's what counts right?
