ZX14 Only Track Day
Looking into having a ZX14 only track day at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA in April 24th or 25th, 2007. Is there any interest???
Just got this from Shannon from Thunderhill Raceway in Willows,CA about renting track for ZX14 track day.

Subject: Track Rental
Size: 4 KB
Our standard motorcycle rental is $4250 for the first 20 riders and $120 for every additional rider over 20.
This price includes everything you need to run the day. Workers, Ambulance, Insurance etc.
Food would be separate.
As of today I have April 24 or 25 available for rent.
Once you chose a date, contract can be sent. There is a required $1500 deposit to hold the date. You would then pay the remainder of the bill at the end of the day on the day of the event.

I'm in.
On a related note, there are lots of track day organizers that regularly run days at thunder hill and infineon. It would probably be more cost effective just to coordinate a bunch of us to sign up to a Zoom Zoom or Kegwins day at either track.

I know you are just being a smartass but.... if 22 people end up going, each person would pay $204.09.
I suggest we choose a day next spring with Zoom Zoom and try to buy out the "C" group. Cost per person with this TDO is usually $180/ea. I'm told they run a first class track day with lots of local pros to help out (tips, showing lines, etc...).

Are there 22 zx14 owners out there? I'm up here in central Cali, Willow sure is long ride just to get on a track. Any Infineon/ThunderHill interests?

If they had a drag strip, I'd be all over it. I have flown over it many times, very nice track. Lots of hills and tight curves. I suck at the twisty stuff though, so I'll pass.
Infineon would be wicked expensive to rent. Even just the drag strip would cost too much. I used to drag race there, and may race there again when I get back to California, its a very nice track.

It depends on when/where we want to go. If we go to Infineon or T-Hill, we should wait until April (to have the best chance of a dry track). Zoom Zoom should have their spring/2007 schedule up by January/February.
