Those slip-ons that Intimida2or are the same ones as Htosado. He had them dynoed and if I remember correctly they did very well. I talked to him on the phone and he said they are amazing. Plus you can get those tips in different colors. I personally want to keep the duals, but high like the akro for the 10, so at the moment my options are limited. I'm working on something of my own with a non-motorcycle exaust company and one of the other members here. We shall see how it goes. Gonna have to wait till snow flies, the way thing are moving so far.

I want to thank you for that rather energetic PM. You have a wonderful day. I think FBA was talking about getting your ass kicked off the board. I can stop and pay you a visit next time I come down to FL. I personally can't stand the state so I don't get there often. Brought the kids down to see the rat last March.
I'm not sure why you want more pics of my truck, but here you go.

I only posted it before because your to thick headed to understand we aren't anti-chrome here with-out pics.

I also recently wrapped my mid-pipes with black/carbon heat wrap... they look even better now!

Lets see an updated pic. The D&D pipes look sweet. I know they have to be loud as hell.

If I was going the slip-on route, the Area P (and a supporting vendor of this site) look gorgeous on the 14, and the sound clips were very deep. I ended up going with the Brock Street Gen system, somewhat loud but very authoritative and down to business.

I looked at other slips, but I didn't like the tips.............the 2Bros. just looked smoother to me without having a rear plate and then a small pipe sticking out. The ones on the red pic shown above look good........for a red bike.

I'll take some updated pics soon.

Oh, and I sure wish I could convince everyone that the D&D's aren't loud anymore. They are tired of that reputation and have made
SIGNIFICANT changes to be quieter and have a lot tone. Really guys... they are QUIET and sound GREAT!!

Nookie, check out Area P slip-on's. The 15" polished 2.25"stainless steel cans look and sound great. And you can pick them up for less than $500.

Question about the slip-ons: Can the midpipes be removed from the actual cans on any of these slip-ons? I'm curious about having the midpipe coated. thx

Those ends on the red 14 above are billet and available in red, blue, black, natural and who knows what other colors. Htosado was the first to get a set and he had a thread on them. Try the search.

No I won't go to dinner with you The guys with the goldwings running the dragon with the floor boards on the ground would make you look like the you are. Boss Hoss trike w/ nos for me! I have to have the seat back so my head doesn't hit the ceiling so I'm leaning forward dumb look @ the difference in the headrests.

Sorry nookie for taking this in this direction. Get a-hold of one of those guys mentioned above and they can tell you more. Kinda surprised htosado hasn't been in here as it is. I'm done here.

On my Bruce Fab slip-ons the entire pipe comes apart , so yes at least one set ofd aftermarket slip-ons comes apart

I used hi-temp exhaust paint to coat mine:

Area P mid-pipes "slip-on" and are secured with stainless steel t-bolt clamps. So yes, they seperate from the mufflers. I would imagine most aftermarket slip-ons are similar.

Yes, the D&D cans slip right off the pipes if you remove the clamp at the front of the can. Coating them would be very easy.

Get a full system. Brocks is the best.Slip ons are a waste of time and money.

Slip-ons are fine. They give a mild HP boost and look and sound great. Most full systems move you to a single can, so if you like the dual look, get slip-ons. Not everyone is trying to eke out every single horsepower they can, and are pretty happy with the bike horsepower as it is. If you're definitely trying to eke out as much power as you can, the full system is for you. If you want a better sound, a mild (4 to 5) horsepower boost, and an easy install, go with slip ons.

My 2 Bros comes apart at the mids with the X-ring that bolts the mid to the pipe, so yes, they can be handled seperately as well.
