My suggestion is throw the whole factory exhaust in the garbage, don't stop with the cans.

+1
Brocks entire stainless sytem weighs les than the factory header, and the stock cans outweigh the stock header by 5lbs a peice!
remove 55 lbs, and replace it with 11 lbs, and gain almost 15 RWHP !
No brainer
the only mod cheaper offering compareable performance gains is fly removal and 16 tooth sproket!
youll need the PC3 and dynotune to run with flies out though... or suffer chernobyl melt down!

Brocks street megaphone is what you should buy. They have the best customer service I have ever dealt with anywhere. He will also send you the correct map you need. His support is the best out there.

Jim
Why would you tell him to leave it stock when you have Brocks, then tell him a meg when he doesn't want loud. Why don't we tell him to get the Broz that ends at the pegs. What are you talking about ahole.net. Go back to busabugly.net you idiot.

Back to the question at hand - I have the Ti Force slipons. Very nice mellow tone. Deeper than stock, but in no way loud. Awesome craftsmanship and detail.

my Brock Gen 3 gets loud at times, but I seriously would just buy a full exhaust. I just couldn't imagine those stock cans actually weighing as much as they did. With that said, the stock headers are fairly light considering. Slip-ons? Don't think it matters much, they are what they are so all of them should be fairly similar in sound. I'd go with what you think looks good and let the chips fall where they may. I have no personal experience with the sound of any of the slip-ons, so this is just my 'theory' on the whole matter.

Ti Force are quite nice...my only issue is that when I do exhaust, I want to get more out of it than just some weight and looks...but I've heard great things about them. I love my Brock/Hindle setup...weight loss is grand too! I know on the 14, I dropped almost 35 lbs with them...that was amazing and coupled with the big power and fat headers...results were spectacular. Onmy 10, I saw a nice weight loss, not 35 lbs but still good. Only issue on the 14 is that silly single decel pop at 3700 RPM...every time you pass it...but I can live with that given the performance I got out of them. I'm a big believer in 4-1 and 2-1 exhausts...I have Sonny Barger's Thunderheaders on my HOG and they gave me an extra 10HP over stock...but they're way to loud. Had to crank up the iPOD to compensate. ____________

My D&D slip-ons are very mellow as well. Seems like nobody around here believes me, but they are... and the price is right too. You can get a set for around $500 and you don't have to take half your bike apart to install like a full system. They look and sound great, and they probably save you 20 or so pounds.

Just to make this more confusing, I have Area P carbon slips that aren't that loud, nice quality, and fairly cheap...

I'm not quite sure how you can have a deep rumble at idle and not be loud higher up in the rev range. However, Area P offers slipons in different lengths and bore sizes. Check with Kerry about a 20'" canister with a 2" bore. Probably as close as you are gonna get to what you are looking for.
