I can tell countersteer put tons of work and money into his 12R. Not my cup of tea but I can appreciate the work involved. My personal opinion is that the paint job and crome makes it look a little drug dealer/rapper...ish.

Once you ride one you'd come away surprised. You can putt at 1-2 mph with your feet up and unless you really pull on the throttle they are VERY docile. Stock they have a throttle that takes at least 1/2 turn from idle to WFO so you have to intentionally hit the secondaries. Freeway or highway cruising is what they do best, except for perhaps draining their fuel tanks! At 1300 lb. for the 502 you don't want to tip one over unless you are quite strong or have help. I tested it in my garage one night (drunk with liquid courage) so I'd know in advance if I ever did it on the street. It was a HEAVY lift but I could do it by myself, ToolMan could probably do it with a beer in one hand . . .

Hey CounterPunk...now you're showing your immature age with all of your baseless comments...I spend more $$ in a day doing nothing than you've spent in your miserable existence of a life. I've owned 40+ bikes and am smart enough to know where to spend the money. Chrome sportbikes...that's for pimps, pussies and dealers....hope you don't go breaking any wheels in the near future. Oh and by the way, chrome DOES weaken the metal...thats a fact and if you bother to research it, you'll possibly know what everyone else here already does.

If I ever need your idiotic comments about polishing wheels, I'll make sure to shoot myself first before ever asking someone or something like you. "Full grown man"? Maybe in some prehistoric countries, but not here. Now, if you're finished jacking the thread, why don't you go back to school and go take up some space, or at least an English couse? It's "DECREPIT", not decrepid -- you punk

Stalwart, since when have you been known to be "bland" and old?

prehistoric country? you live in the middle of fucking nowhere in canada. since youre so wealthy you should try to make it on the island- i live 5 minutes from the hamptons buddy- life aint cheap. youve gone through forty bikes? i guess that would make 1 bike for every two years of your miserable existance... so where are they now? let me guess- they were mostly eyesore pieces of shit deathtraps that rattled apart. nice to see that you finally have a halfway decent collection though... misspelling decrepitswleghslkhglk? thats nothing more than a low-blow feeble retort for me mocking your lack of knowledge on HOW TO POLISH. i will let you know when my front wheel shatters and i skid to a halt on the lower forks... maybe in a few more decades i will be up to par with you... until then, eat a dick.

Good comeback..."eat a dick"...yup. I'd say you're learning a lot in school now. Hope daddy didn't spend too much on that --

Your 12...well that has to be the ultimate in rides....only a like you would be caught dead on that ugly PURLE and GREEN tin can.

Oh, did you finish paying for it yet? Guess not, since it was still sitting in your garage with that broken down motor you had some build for you. Maybe if you'd spent some real money building it, instead of blingin' it, it might still be running --

DECREPID was only one of many words you misspelled...go back to school, tell daddy you need more money because you flunked English -- again.

you went a little soft on me with that last post... you seem to be getting sweeter by the day. orient is expecting the 12 soon enough... you will be the first to hear the news when she rolls back out. i pay for my bikes, i pay for school and i pay for everything else in life. i even rode the 14 out to pick up an overpriced 100$ english textbook today- ill be sure to read it so i dont offend any grammar nazis. by the way, its not green, its CYAN. move this thread to the smackhouse so FBA can learn how to polish dick.

FBA, read the 8 ball thread,
been told the gsxr wheels are 13 lbs lighter than the zx14 wheels. EACH !!
some dymags would run probabaly 20 lbs lighter rear and 15 lbs lighter on front.

BIG BIG BIG handling, accelleration and braking performance gains!

after some more HP, wheels for this dude!

ya knowwwww ya want it!

I don't want to piss on your parade BUT there's NO way that can be true. A fairly lite wheel weighs about 13 pounds so that would bring in the 14's wheels in at 26 plus pounds... AH NO WAY not even close They won't be anywhere near that heavy. I picked up a bare wheel at the shop a few weeks back and they're average weight wheels.

I'll go weigh my spare rear wheel less the sproket hub and damper and rotor...
with a bald bt014 on it right now...
they saying 39 lbs, the gsxr runs the same tire.. with deeper tread, not the BT014 L like ours!

carbon/magnesium. beautiful.

straight carbon is pretty damn nice too.

also very nice.
with my weight and riding style, id be worried about turning carbon wheels into diamond wheels

Ok , your right, 30.5 lbs with bald tire and bearings, no sproket , no damper assembly, no rotor.

I stand corrected. I was misinformed.
Wishful thinking on my part.

The wheels on my 10 are lighter than the tires that fit on them - I think Lyle is right. I've held them in my hand without the tire mounted..takes a few fingers only to hold 'em up. If they fit my 14, I would consider putting 'em on and they're black too!

Don't know but read the coby adams 8 ball thread for more details on the weight differences.

I have always like the style of the gsxr wheel more than the zx wheels of late.....

Not likely worth the mods as I was initally led to beleive.

Shit man I'm not here to be right or wrong, but I've done a lot of wheel research. I agree completely with you about the lite weight wheels. They're money well spent for sure.

Believe it or not my Girlfriends 05 636 has the big axles and my 05 10R has the small stuff.. Kawasaki didn't give the 10 BIG axles till 06 for some unknown reason.

You just bore me...so go ahead and flame away, have fun (you need the practice) ...it's not worth my time to bother responding to your usless posts. It's like taking candy from a baby and only an idiot couldnt keep up with your posts.

and your 12...it's still fucking ugly, cyan, purple...whatever you want to call it, might as well be hotpink It doesn't even fucking run...

Btw, Cyan is just a way to try to shout out to the crowd: "I'm not , it's Cyan, not purple, honest...I swear..."

Have fun --

I wanted Carbon wheels until I done a little off roading action earlier this year and I changed my mind... If I would have had carbon wheels they would have broke I feel sure. I'll stick to Aluminum for my street stuff I think.
