Thanks again for the great post you all................or "yall" as they say here in Kentucky. It has rained 6.5 inches the past 24 hours and the strong storms and rain are moving in right now. 2 to 4 inches per hour expected as well as tornados. It's great to be able to read and enjoy this post today. Perfect timing in my opinion............

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Charles that's a lot of rain for sure! I'll bet Harlin, KY has the flood gates to the town shut by now

Yes Sir!!! The storm is forcast to stall right here in the Louisville area. They have the National Guard ready to go.............lots of people have their homes flooded. 40 to 50 mph winds in the next 15 to 30 minutes. They shut down I65 North AND South last night. A real mess...................

Aluminum frame? Think steel would be better for aftermarket power.

Aluminum, although it has a limited service life, can be made stronger than steel for the same weight or lighter for the same strength.

Hey Fish,
The "Late to the table comment" comes from the 07 colors thread that I'd just posted. I was at the Dealer and he gave me some of the details of the US show. Then I noted this thread.
Good Job lots of specs and details, and I know that was a lot of work.
2 Wishes.
1. Is there a front pick of the GTP?
2. Too bad the 14 did not get the Red Flames on Black bike as the ZX-10.

4 Pound lighter hollow aluminum frame using the moter for stregth should be fine for stock HP. Just wondering if it will hold up to extreme HP build up.

Thanks for posting those photos/links up. It's going to make the conversation a little easier for me on Tuesday.

Suppose I should back up a bit.

Hi! I'm new here. I've been reading the various ZX and Busa sites for a few weeks now - love both bikes since they seem to both offer a little bit of everything to everyone. Finally decided that - based on my particular needs - the ZX is going to be the bike that my garage is fortunte enough to see (as soon as I figure out how to put 3 cars + 1 bike in a 3 car garage with the rest of my crap. Grr.)

So here's where I could use a little help.

It *appears* that the "Bold New Colors/Graphics" is what the 07 is going to do for the 14 this year. That's fine - kind of expected that given it's a new bike. For me, it both does and doesn't matter what year I go with - part of it is when I temporarily tuck my man parts in and substitute woman parts and start caring about color. The mangina screams for yellow, orange or Kawi green on a bike of that size.

Anyone thinking about doing this/having done this?

Thanks all - regardless, talking to the dealer on Tuesday and making plans for getting a bike into the garage.

Well,The good news about that white one is you won't have to paint it white ALL over before you spray on the 10R GREEN!!!!!! It already has a good base coat for the green to lay over... It will make a nice BRIGHT green

At least the wheel colors are better. I like the red and the silver ones.
