Brake light blowing fuses

I keep blowing fuses too my rear brake light. I have nothing hooked up to the electrical there, and no broken wires that I can see. Anybody got any other ideas??

Ok. I'm thinking the same thing, just to damn lazy to fool with it. Kinda fun to go down the dragstrip with the hazard flashers on at night though

I agree, its short somewhere most likely under that seat. I have seen a bulb blow and the filement hangs down and cause a short as well.

hey, just something to check,....look at the rear brake lite switch and see if it touching the frame where the wires come out the top...it can arc on frame and short out everytime you touch rear brake pedal,or you can unplug brake lite switch for the rear brake ,just to see if that is indeed your problem...speaking from experience when i put my side winder on....just an idea

And to help trace it...look for some blackened metal or light "weld spots" from the short around there...should be easy to spot if that's the case...check around the pipes, since you must have changed them.

Work is where you have to call a whole bunch of sniveling whiners, that complain when they can't get free stuff fast enough.

Have a nice trip to the Bahamas . . . on all of us.

Take seat off. The fuse holder under the seat at the right front. That little square thingy. Read the top, you'll see the what fuses are inside.
