There's a lot of hyperbole in there...VVT? Also variable intake tracts? Yah, right!

I hate everything about that bike to include the cute luggage set, the safe unresponsive shaft drive, that monstrous can on the side, that windshield designed to double as air brakes...different stroke for different folks I guess. Personally I think the ZX could be improved. Mine came shipped with an ultra-soft suspension for starters.

Different strokes for different folks, guess they can turn some revenue competing with gold wings and beamers

Shafts are pretty dam good anymore, take the fjr for instance. that bike will out sell the zx14 anyday of the week, will I trade my 14 for one no ,but i might add one beside it. we have so many people come in and ask when there will be a new concourse and those customers are not interested in the 14 or any sport bike for that matter.

Only thing about the FJ...it isn't nearly as smooth running as the 14...not even close. Has more engine and chassis vibration.

Ya, FBA but your sport touring crowd loves the FJR.

Oh...I'm not disagreeing with that, I had an 04 it it kicked ass....but the GTR, if it's anything like the ZX...would blow the FJR away in every respect.

I love it all except the garbage can for the exhaust. Perhaps I should have waited, bought one of these and modded it to get near the performance of the 14 . . . NAW, if it has a lower seat height, I could get one of these for the wife!

The shaft is nice on that super-sweet M109 Suzuki cruiser too, keyword "cruiser"

stevewfl, if that bike handles anything like an fjr, you better watch out who's riding it when you call it a cruiser. It's a far cry from a criuser. I led one of are sport bike rides once on my fjr and I thought I was riding rather reserved but 3 people trying to keep up with me crashed in the curves, last time i ever led a ride.

Most FJR 1300 riders are more experienced than most sportbike riders.................and accumulate a LOT more miles each year than the latter also............
