I have a question about the wiring. The Install Guide labels one wire coming off the Alarm as "Accessory". Does this wire connect to the "Ignition" brown wire coming off the left side from the key cylinder? I just wanted to make sure prior to installing it. Thanks

The manual should have said "Ignition", not "accessory"...it was written by a dork (not me). Yes, that connects to the brown wire from the key (True ignition)

Installed mine today. Added an inline fuse to the +12v line (white ignition wire). Also tapped each wiring harness with pin connectors, then ziptied them to the existing wiring to put constant pressure, so no wires were soldered to with this installation. Added connectors to the starter wire that was cut so that it can be quickly plugged back together in any situations/issues in the future. Added wire conduit around the set of 3 wires going to the right side, and then also to the 3 wires going to the left side. Also added a spade connector to the ground wire, then loosend the overflow tank bolt, and put the spade connector between the head of the bolt and the permanent washer that is part of the bolt, then tightened it all down. The remote has to be pretty far away to trigger the alarm, my wife had to go across the street to the mailboxes to get the alarm to trigger when I tried to turn it on.
Filled out the evaluation form with alot of comments and suggestions, given my experience with automotive wiring and my current web product (invisicord.com).
Thank you for the opportunity for this and if you need any more info, please let me know! If you need glowing testimonials for the final marketing of your product, I am sure I and many others will be able to provide plenty!

Installed mine tonight. At first I was going to put the alarm in the front (right in front of the gauge cluster) - but the install sheet said something about front/back (as did the unit itselt) - so I installed on the left side with zipties to the airinflow (just tight enough). Used black stretch tape - awesome stuff - never used before. I did soldier all the connections too - fairly easy - and on 2 of the connections (the turn signals/hazards - if you go back far enough you will see a connection there already - joined the wires to those spots. My only was for the black/red starter switch wire - wasn't happy about cutting it - but did a good job and looks like new.
And, while I was at it - I installed the Muzzy's Frame Sliders and a connection for a Battery Tender (which can be used for accesories too. And, that space infront of the instrument cluster - seems like a great area to install some communication device such as the Autocomamerica product. I didn't know that there was such a large area there.

Installed the ZX-14 on Thursday, all connections soldered as recommended, the install went well... very clean.
Installed the CBR1100XX Saturday, all connections soldered, install was pretty easy there too... the entire system is contained above the headlight, behind the instrument cluster. Very easy wiring, but the siren was a tight fit. It's shoe-horned in to it's new home.
Hope to have a few more installs for you very soon!

FBA,
I don't know how many zx12 are in on this evaluation, but the alarm fixs nicely under the tank cover between the tank and fuse box on the left side.
white wire and brown wire are same as zx14. starter interupt on the right side under ram cover.

So how are the evaluations results panning out? Do you have a list yet of future tweaks to the system?
Thank you again for keeping all of us in the loop and giving us a chance to test out the complimentary alarm system!

I am seeing a lot of the same feedback from all of you, which I will certainly share with you and tell you how we plan to change some aspects of the product and program...but still waiting for more feedback...there are still a lot of people who have not yet installed, but the ones who have so far are providing excellent feedback!
I want to thank you all for helping us out as well! BTW, the new Harley alarm works on the same principle as ours...just read about it in the Enthusiast. It uses a buttonless remote with proximity sensing...

A guy at work has one, it is a very flat and round key fob, very same principle as the Phantom.

Looks like you read this thread somewhat frequently: For more feedback, when I dropped my keys, the remote control came apart in 2 pieces and came off my key chain. The pieces snapped back together quite easily - but from an engineering standpoint to make the product better so that the remote would have a lesser chance of getting lost - how about putting a keychain hole through the pieces such that when the 2 halfs are apart they don't get lost easily - am I making sense here?

Actually I missed that very same thing in my evaluation. I noticed it later when I put pressure on the ring that goes through the remote. It snaps apart easily, and would lend itself to losing the remote easily.

Yup...damn engineering flaw which I fought over with the manufacturer. You will be getting additional feedback requests in the next short while, where you can voice your opinion on it! Thanks...and for now, use the belt clip to keep it together. We may have a work-around soon...

See, I knew you were reading this page. But, love the product, and it does work. You have a section pertaining to filling the tank with gas - personally, I avoid what the manual says and just put gas in the tank. It doesn't seem to bother the alarm as long as the remote is nearby.
