Gotcha, sounds good, so I might just want to do this with the starter wires then. I saw the new ZX 14 specific directions, that will help immensely. I just put the bike together after the pipe/PC installation, not sure when I will pull off parts of the panels again as we are only about a month from putting up the bike.

So you're going to go ahead and install now I take it?

fba - Do you have any advice for simplifying the install on different bikes? I'm wondering if we'll have to obtain service manuals or at least wiring diagrams to install on the other bikes that we discussed?

fba - Did you ever get any pictures of your install location? I took a quick look when I got home (pulled GF grill) and it looks pretty darn tight... just want to make sure I'm putting it where you say works best before I go looking for my own "spot" and end up in a less-than-desirable location.

Ya well...the package (non prototype production units) will be sealed shut in the future. They also forgot to ship fuseholders with the product, probably should use a 10 amp fuse on the 12 Volt wire -- sorry about that.

Nuthin $3 won't fix at Radio Shack.

Got one too, thanks FBA! Is the "noisy" end supposed to come off? There appears to be no sealant to keep water/crap out . . .

It did, the dab of glue didn't adhere well. With your permission I'd like to wipe a TINY bead of silicone around the joint, that way it could come apart if required but stay waterproof. VERY tidy inside, not as crammed full as I would have thought. I LOVE the design and can't wait to install it. Gotta work on the wife's Navigator first . . .
