Quick Shifter I have the PC 3 and want to get the the Quick Shifter, can someone tell me how this works when you shift in neutral? I had SWOL on my ZRX and I used the clutch lever switch to shut the unit off, is there something like it when installing the Quick shift? if it is in the software how dose it work, do you have to set it every time you shut the bike off? Thanks for the Help

The quickshifter interrupts the fuel? ignition? for a adustable period of time, unloading the transmission and allowing an clutchless upshift. You still have to move the lever. It's not an airshifter.

Thanks swft, I under stand that it's not an airshifter. I want to know how it works when you come to a stop. Each time up pull up on the shifter the quickshifter cuts the engine in some way. That said what happens when you want to put the bike in neutral.

Oh, sorry for my misunderstanding of your question. The quickshifter only functions on upshifts from 1st. Should you roll up to a light in first, the kawasaki positive neutral finder function will put the bike in neutral, and I *think* the quickshifter will still cut the engine for a second, but not sure on that one. But let's say you are downshifting from second, the quickshifter won't do anything for your downshift.

Thanks again Swft. I understand how it works, I guess I'm looking for more of an install thing. The DynaJet web site is a little vague on the install Instructions. Anybody have the Instructions on how the wire the thing up and or how it interfaces with the PC3?

It plugs into the expansion port on the PC3 USB's. Load the software on your computer and set the kill time and rpm range you want to shifter to activate and send it to the Power Commander...

I took me less then 1/2 hour to install and it works flawless. I would never mess with all the airshifter bottles and lines etc. for how good the quick shifter works. I love it at the track. have ran 9.48 with it and I'm over 235 suited.

Can we use the quick shifter on the zx14? I have a friend who uses it on his 04 gsxr1000 but I tried to get it for my 06 gsxr1000 and it would have cost me a lot more money because I needed extra stuff because the ignition system was different.
Is anyone here running it on there zx14 and is that all you had to buy to be able to use it? Thanks.

Great, I may have to buy that too. More money out the window. That should make the imitation wife happy. ;0)

Bently, any photos of how you mounted the sensor?

I have the PC3 QuickShifter that has to be mounted to the shift lever(as opposed to the H-bar mounted button) I assume that is the one we're talkin' about? I'm gonna mount as soon as my 16T Sprkt comes in. I'll get some pics posted when I get it on.

Well the 12R has the pressure sensor mounted in the shift rod linkage, and I dont know off the top of my head if its a pull or a push sensor. I would hazard a guess though that it could be made to work if its a push sensor...

Use part 4-104, same as for a Busa.
Ended up moving the shifter attachment point further forward to reduce travel. Mine was cutting the ignition after some "normal" shifts. Seems to be working fine now.
