Tyres......again?

Hi guys, I know, another tyre question/opinion. I'm using the stock BT-014's and have done multiple searches for expected life. I've almost finished the official break in period (1400 km/800 mls) and my rear tyre is almost finished (2 mm left) I rode fairly conservatively and thought this my just have been a bad batch, before buying the same again. Anyone have similar tyre life from stock?

Cheers

I got about 3,300 miles out of my stock rear 014. Compare that to typically getting about 4,000 out of a Pilot Power on my ZZR1200.

Check out the Avon tire deal on the Viper Sports, buy the rear and get the front for shipping, 18 bux. Better hurry though I think the promo ends soon. I got the Viper Sport AV60 200/50R17, is an awesome looking tire.....TB

VERY seriously doubt the bad batch theory. people just get vastly different wear out of the same tire on the same bike. keep in mind, those tires are only... is it 4 or 5mm when new? so u've got up to 30% of the tread life left. still that is very quick wear. either u're really hard on the tire (maybe a burnout or 2?) or the pavement around ur parts is hard on teh tire.

We are riding bikes that are among the world's fastest, discussing how many miles we can squeeze out of a Z rated TIRE? LMAO!

I just hope I weather permits for the drag strip and I can rapidly smoke these stock ones off, 'cuz the Pilot Powers are on the way!

Ya know thats what I thought as well. At 2500 they looked shot well at 4200 i finaly took them off and mounted a set of P/Powers. They seemed to get a 2nd wind and hung in there pretty well or maybe I just slowed down some:P

i suspect Strada/Corsa may be a bit much of a gap. Strada/Diablo would probably make more sense (fish_antlers did this coming back from laguna last year).
