I'm thinking about doing the free-TRE (resistor) mod, but use a toggle switch to turn it on or off. That way I only use it on occasion - like when some literbike wants to roll-on, or something like that, but I don't risk running lean at cruising RPM's all the time. I would also not have to start at 6th gear on the display all the time...

14 has 6 gears? Fuck...I thought it only had 5...I'm going dowstairs now to find that 6th you speak of:P
