What Exhaust to Buy?

New to the site, love all the helpful info. Looking into buying a exhaust system, but not sure which one to get. I love the look of the duals, but would like to have the header to go with it. Anyone know the difference in hp between the Dual Slip-ons and the 4-2-1 Systems. . Let me know what you think of your current exhaust. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also, anyone around Northern Cali willing to ride, let me know. ( I'm in Stockton).

I have three comments....

1) Welcome

2) Use the search function to look for past threads. There have been a number of recent threads addressing aftermarket exhaust systems.

3) There will be a group ride (10-15 people) this Saturday (8/26/06) In NorCal. I don't think there will be any other 14s besides me but it should be fun. We leave from Cordelia (Fairfield) and will be doing the Lake Berryessa loop (plenty of twisties). Great route, great group, you won't be sorry. Let me know if you want to join us and I'll send you the info.

At this point if you check the big names you will see the HP numbers. From what has been talked about on here... it appears that the HP gains with the 4-2-2 are pretty low... If you are looking for HP so far we have seen Brock's give the most HP with the 4-1. I have the MUZZY 4-1 and I LOVE IT!!!!! It looks great, and sounds perfect!! They are a sponsor on this site and give $100.00 off through them. I think that you can get 4-1 Full Stainless for $670.00 or so. You will need a power commander for $300.00 or so. That is probably the "most bang for the buck". I believe that Brocks is at $1100.00 give or take... but he seems to have incredible customer care. Schnitz racing has a lot of info on their site.. and they are great to talk to. Do some personal checking to find out what you like and need. If you like the 4-2 for looks.. as many members on here do.. then get them... just figure out what you want and call the maker. HTOSADO has some special make pipes from a guy in Cali... so check that out too. Good Luck... Check out the threads on here.. Go back 15 or 20 pages because there is a lot of info we have covered in the past. Read all you can on the secondary 'butterfly valves'... That info is a must read!!!! Take Care...

My 4-2 slip-on with dual baffles I think compare to the 4-1. I'll take the pepsi challenge. When they get dyno'd I'll post them.

Just talking about this in another post. The Tiforce is pretty good. Sounds great and saves a couple of stone in weight.
A Power Commander is a "must" with any of these after-market exhausts.

The brocks will give you the most power out of the big 3 that are available in full systems Brocks Muzzys and TiForce

The only dyno results that would give any real data would be back to back runs with the same bike on the same dyno on the same day.

Until that is done, I don't think anyone can say [fill in the blank] pipe makes the most power.

Htosado, I like the looks of your cans but slip-ons will not make power compared to a Brocks or muzzy's or ti-force or for that matter any full system. just my 2 cents

I really like the look and sound of htosado custom 13" race exhaust. I was also wondering if anyone has heard the yoshimura pipes for the 14 full or slips?
