In this case swft it was nhra not ama, but the still messed with the rules enough to take bikes that could not make the show to being number 1 qualifer. The booted suzuki who had been a major sponsor of nhra and went with harley.

Well someone wasn't very good at keeping secrets were they....

And Bently Kaw dropped their dragrace program a couple years ago and pretty much left Muzzy hanging. Kaw was footing most if not all of the bill for the PS engine developement program. Rob please correct me if I am wrong....

Kawasaki stopped there support of Rob Muzzy Racing at the end of 2004. We wanted to continue in 2005 so we made a decission to compete with the S&S powered Buell.

Yah, my bad, NHRA. The track organizers weren't making shit at the concession stands until they got the Harley crowd in.

Aint that the truth.....................It seems the Harley riders think so anyway. The funny thing to me is. Most insurance companies welcome the Harley guys with open arms. Yet if you ride a SportBike you're unwelcome SCUM! A large percent of SportBike guys were the proper safety gear and would NEVER drink and ride their 10K bike AT ANY TIME! The average Harley rider wears little if any gear, AND what leather they wear is for looks only. They go out 2 or 3 times a week and get totally shit faced and hop on their 20K PLUS HOG and head home with ZERO gear and drunk as a skunk! A large number never make it. The cost to the insurance company is automaticly twice as much and probably twice as often. WTF!!! is the deal here I want to know?

I would say to this>>>>>>>>>>>>>DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!!!!!!!!!!

ProStar is all but dead AND NHRA is busy SUCKIN HARLEY's ASS!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember long ago when my not so well known friend at that time,BUT very well known friend NOW............George Bryce made a switch from Kawasaki to Suzuki. I ask him one day at the track ........WHY you do that??? He replied " If you're going to race in the NHRA against Terry Vance and have a chance to win you had better be running the same package!" Simply put Terry and Byron are the NHRA go to men for rules concerning bikes and always will be. LOOK AT WHAT THEY RUN! and go out and get one quick! ( SEE WHAT ROB DID DON'T YOU?) They can't pass rules against themselves in simple terms.

Kawasaki isn't willing to step up and OUT CASH the Harley group with the NHRA and neither was SUZUKI......... MONEY rules RACING and always will. AND don't forget about Terry and Byron either

Still a cool idea, and I agree, tha NHRA should loosen the leash a little and let new concepts come in.. No wonder there is a lack of growth and the same people racing in the prostock bike class.

If Kawasaki really wanted to compete in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle they would back it up with some support from the factory like Harley and Suzuki do.Harley hired Byron Hines to do what he needed to get a Harley (in name only) competitive.Basically a blank check. Kawasaki's does not want to sponsor an air cooled KZ platform PSB.All of the Suzuki Pro Stock Bikes still use the GS platform air cooled motors. I wish Kawasaki would do something.Any more info from Rob Muzzy???

There's a little thing called lead..................AND with that in mind it wouldn't matter if they spent every dime they had. Their reward would be a wagon full of lead until the day Harley decides to quit lining their pockets with gold
