went 9.28...

Got in some good passes lastnight. Bike was consestantly running low 40's the first few passes. My cousin jumped on another 14 for a guy and we went out and made a pass... i ran a 9.31 on that one...i thought cool, this works...turned the gas up on the high side of the PC and made another pass 9.28 at 147. This was my best pass of the night. Lost first round of trophy. Put cousin on bike he went 9.18 and then a 9.15 at 149.95. Bike needs some more gear but all in all i was happy. Cant wait until we get some 40-50 degree weather i should go low teens and maybe he can squeeze out a 8 second run.
1.487 60' 1.480
3.943 330 3.904
5.981 1/8th 5.907
120.46 mph 122.19
7.763 1000 7.657
9.288 1/4 9.156
147.39 149.95
It's amazing what 50 pounds will do for the bike! ...lol

I would love to see the bike go a 8 anything but i would like to see it with my fat butt on it....you come to Indiana you can ride it anytime. I think it's going to take alittle more gear and a set of wheels before i see 8's....or some really good weather.

flatoutbu This Winter i'm going to read a post from you that you ran 8s .....You will pick up 1.5 to 2.0 in cold air and a good sticky track ...Get your 60s down to low low 1.40s and you are home free.....

Oh trust me i'll give it hell! I'm thinking of switching to shoot out tire, for one....it's shorter and flatter and it will help on gear alittle. Also thought about mr9 but i cant find anybody in my area who sells it. Also i have been fighting off the flu the last few days, everybody kept asking me why i was there..."it's double points night"...was my reply...lol

right around 68 degrees and 40% humidity...but that was with my 50 pound lighter cousin on it. My best so far has been the 28 and it was around 73 degrees and we had no wind at all. I just looked up vp racing fuel web site...they have of course mr9 and mr10 now...but it says the mr10 is a low octane fuel not good for high compression...hmmm....but makes up to 2 hp more than the mr9. What do you guys think?

Damn 121.00 5 gallons !!!! Here it's 65.00 for 5 gallons of U4...... mr9 may work fine but i don't think i would go that low on octane....I would have no problem using 93 octane u4 ...I use u4 in my zrx at 12.5.1 and have no problems .. I know Brock uses mr9 in his zx14 but it's mapped real rich for it .....I don't think you would have to remap for the u4.... Smokin..

The oxygen content of MR9 offsets the lack of octane you are reading in the specs. It's not as simple as octane readings when comparing highly oxygenated fuels.

SS bikes run fine on MR9 & U4 with a lot more compression than anyone here has in a 14.

Don't set the pc to full rich you'll be disappointed in your result on MR9 over pump gas, 4-6% will be fine.

Do you drain your tank after using the MR9?? I really afraid to use the "MR" or U type fuels from VP because I would be leaving it in the tank for a few weeks at a time, and don't want to run into problems with fuel pump. Did Brock figure out what the problem was with the fuel pumps and leaving the MR9 in the tank for weeks at a time?
