It's obvious that the show is all about stunting...Then the producers just fill in with all other aspects of sportbikes and what we do other than stunting...But then it's back to stunt bikes...

If you are lucky enough to find a major carrier to insure a sportbike these days, the zip code matters. But the numbers that mean most now to insurers is that number on the side of your bike. And the letters are what really spaz them out.If its got and R or god forbid RR on the side, just wet your finger, run it up the crack of your ass and grab your ankles.

quote: that is bogus too because insurance rates are quoted by Zip code so unless you live in Pine Bluff Arkansas I aint hurtin you
And that statement is full of shit. If you don't think that how many people kill or mame themselves on a sport bike *anywhere in the US* affects ALL of our insurance rates (collision), you are very much mis-informed. Where you live has more to do with theft rates (comprehensive) than anything else.

I have to chime in here on the side of 3Boysand3Bikes, cop or not, he's right....I have no great love for LEO, esp. in Nor-Cal, but, I do have friends who stunt on the street. 90mph wheelies on 101 in San Jose, and stuff like that. They are excellent riders and very skilled.....and stupid for doing that on the road..
The show should be called StupidBikes. Saw the stunt riders at MotoGP, in Laguna Seca and their skill is awsome, but that's the place for that activity, not on public roads.
The episode on the zx-14 was good to a point, but the encouragement to drag race on the street that the show seemed to endorse is as stupid as stunts. I know, the drag race segment was at the strip, but, the inplication of some of the interviews was to set your bike up to do that on the street. I'm not accusing anyone here or doing this on the street, we just don't need that press.
I've been riding on the streeet since 1960 and I've done 'bout every stupid thing you can do on a bike. I'm just glad there were no ZX-14's to buy in 1960 or I wouldn't be here today. Rant over thanx,
Ride safe

That was awesome. I was back in the pits where Christian would enter the track and once he came up behind us and when we moved he rolled into the gate and looked at a female track emplyee holding an umbrella and then proceeded to do 5 donuts around her while smoking the rear of that BMW. She was cool....used to his playin' around and just stood still.
The best part of the whole Superbikes show is that they usually play the ZX14 ad.........wish they would make a few more now..........

He's that guy from the BMW DVD isn't he? Man, he is good to the 10th power. That was awsome stuff. that girl was very cool to let him do that. Have you seen him stoppie at the guys groin? Not for this boy....takes some stones or stoned to let someone do that, I don't care how good they are.
Yeah, they need to put some more 14 ads up now.

Bring Back Two Wheeled Tuesday.. At least Greg White is a real ex racer and a realistic enthusiast. He had real racers on as guests and showe some of the latest cool bikes.. Rossi Moriarity is a squirrel.. I think he must have taken lessons on how to ride a sportbike from A Harley Davidson MSF course so he could do his act on TV.. They need to change their format. I watched it at first but got tire of watching th same 6 or 7 reruns over an over....This whole CUSTOM SHOW BIKE thing gets aggravating.. I like to look at custom bikes as much as the next guy but they are usually not very practical and if someone ever got a scratch on one they would freak! How about a real world sportbike show with reviews on new bikes and gear.. If it was set up like the Motoweek car show it would be great.. Someone who was in the market for a new sportbike or already had a bike would be able to watch a show that was actually entertaining and informative..Give us some real stuff we can actually use...

C'mon- you all realize the show is targeting a crowd consisting of squids stunting on the roads. Whats the big deal. I have to say the Speed Channel Corbins show tonight that had the APRILIA factory tour was HAWT!
And I thought anything that is "Corbin" sponsored is either luggage, a seat, or the whole touring bike itself. This show was about how they make Aprilias perform on the race track.

This is the third time theCorbins Ride on featuring the Aprilia factory etc. has been shown in the last 5 weeks.. I had it on my Tivo twice before in the last month! Tuned in last6 show hoping for something new.. Oh Well
Re Runs Re Runs everybody has them but if they would film more than about 8 shows a season then maybe they would get more audience

quote: You guys are such babies I would rather have a lame bike show then no bike show...
It would be better to have no bike show then Something like "supersquids".
Listen, i ain't no angel on the streets either. I speed, my front wheel comes up now and then, and while i don't put down stunters i don't ride with them. While some are ok some are just plain reckless and i don't want to get collected by them when they wipe out or stoppie into the back of someone. I do support the scene they have when they're in a safe environment (parking lot or event).
However I don't televise my (or anyone else's) antics nor like seeing such televised. Never underestimate the power of tv exposure. We all cry when a crash or police chase involving a squid on a sportbike gets on tv. Well what happens when you got a 30 minute show displaying a club of wizkids who say "U gotz to ride 180mph for 30 milez 2 roll wit us"? Then tops it off with them wheelieing and screaming down the highway, shows Footage of them ditching the cops and finally them at their lil club parking lot laughing because they got the cops so pissed they were swinging their billyclubs at the riders as they swerved around the officers. Add in a little stunting and other footage here and there too to give the impression that WE ARe ALL RECKLESS TWITS and nothing good can come of it. To think otherwise is giving too much credit to the intelligence of the viewing public.
To compare the "Chopper shows" to this is foolish. All they are is "This old House" on two wheels where people make something that looks cool to some. A far cry from a show depicting bikes that go 180+mph and how foolish some of their riders can be. Cops, insurance agents, and the stupid kids not to mention legislators who like making names for themselves by banning whatever they can get news exposure about see this and our lives won't be getting much easier. Forget showing the public "our world" since what we do isn't always law abiding. If people have a genuine interest in our bikes then they can grab a sportbike mag or find info on the net and get a bigger and clearer picture of things then 30 minutes of squidom and NASCAR commericials.
