You'll fall in LOOOOVE..
when you realize it not what the most powerful bike SHOULD feel like....
Call brock, pull the flies, put an smeg on it, have it dynotuned or use brocks map, put a 16 tooth on the front, and a speedo healer to correct the speedo and bypass the speed limiter!
THEN you'll fall in LOOOOVE all over again!
otherwise a fantastic machine!
handling, brakes, comfort..... everything you could expect of a bike in this weight category.
BTW welcome a-board, and congrats!

one small question and I'll start catching up on the threads. You mention the brakes are excellent(I heard the same about the 12.....the 12 DEFINITELY needed braided lines up front), any need for the braided lines on this beast? I pick it up in the morning....I guess I'll be able to answer a lot of my other questions soon.

You won't need braided lines.

Congrats Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in touch with Brock personally and hang out here! Get ready to feel the power !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brock offers great support to the 14 guys and owns one himself BTW! He's impressed with the bike as you will be. I would have a 14 already BUT I just can't or won't sell my cherri 12R and I'm having tooo much fun with the 10R! I really don't need 3 sportbikes either since I already have to keep the maintenance up on Sherri's 636 along with my own 2. I do want one in a bad way though! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! These guys are having a ton of fun fuckin with this new toy!!! HAVE FUN Jeff and be safe
OH! Yea RED was a good choice! As us old fucks all know it was the original color Kawaski picked for the GPz line way back in 1981! Red has some roots at the heart of Kawasaki as well as Green. I still own a FireCracker RED 1983 GPz1100! Like my 12R it will always have a home with me.

dbeadling--thanks for the heads up on the brakes. WOW.
I'm just shaking my head right now...I can't believe this bike...just can't believe it. I'm keeping my 12, but the 14 is everything else I wanted. I'm just not understanding all this torque---it's a beautiful thing.
Frickin' WOW.
thanks for the welcome guys, I've been here awhile...I'll be spending a lot of time reading,
And yes gunner, Brock is on the top of my list for this project.

Congratulations on the 'red' 14. Beautiful bike, isn't it? You'll have to do like I do. Ride the 14 for a while and then take a spin on the 12. Two completely different bikes.
I'm glad you bought a ZX-14 and got them Hayabusa's off your mind. You made the right choice.

I am hating the pressure points on the seat of my ass...but I should lose about 50 lbs before bitching about that.

I'll be going with the Brock Gen3(carbon can), USB, and No Flies.
Decals are gone and so is the mudflap.
Thanks for all the info. Ride On.

It seems to always happen.. you get a new bike and it RAINS!!! Then you put on the pipe and it RAINS!! Then you put on a front sprocket.. and it RAINS!!! OR.. it is 100 degrees out and you sweat your tail off!! Anyway... enjoy the bike... it is more adictive than any other bike I have owned... Glad to hear that you are enjoying it. It seems that the after market supplies are picking up big time for the 14... Save your money... and yes.. the brakes are the best on the front.. bur the rears take some pressure to get a good feel out of. Wait until you are able to unleash it!! Be safe!!!
