Fuel injection error, Anyway to reset

Finally got the pc3 with the flies out and the right map.Took it around the corner to the gas station. On the way back the f i error comes up. It didnt go into limp mode. Is there a way of resetting the ecm. It started raining some on the way in. Could that be why the message came up. Bike still runs good. I just need to reset the ecm. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you might have forgotten to plug the airbox mounted pressure sensor back in...or the plug to the tank? If not, then you might try a battery disconnect for a few seconds...

The bike's coding because something's up with the work that he did when the flies were removed and it hasn't yet been corrected. When I started the bike with the tank off, mine coded as well, until I reconnected the tank. It has never coded since. IMO, the system will reset itself once the error has been addressed...at least mine did.

fba how fast did yours stop coding. I went through everything and found a hot wire to the speedohealer that came out of the connector. I fixed that and tried with and without the pc3. Still samething happening with the coding. Called the dealer. Ha Ha they dont know if they have to put it on a computer or what. Brock said his codedl. He also said it took it awhile to reset itself.

Turn the key on. Hold down the two black buttons (RESET & MODE) for a few seconds until all the codes pop up on the dash. There could be more than one! Write down the number(s)? The code my go away after the key is turn off and is then unretrievable... sometimes(?) What was/were the code number/s?

Thanks Speedgene thats the type of information i was looking for. I will try it in the morning. Theres has to be more information on the ecm and what different codes mean. I dont see many techs at the dealers that actually know the ins and outs of the new systems. Im talking about true mechanics. Those that are able to find and solve problems not just change parts. Thank you for that info. One other thing i noticed was once so far with the bike running the pc3 wasnt on. I touched the main cable from it and the pc3 suddenly came on. It hasnt happened again to my knowledge. This interruption could have possibly sent the fi error message. If something was unpluged the error or code would have come as soon as the bike was started. Now that i think about it. I started the bike a good 8 times and let it run before putting the body panels back on.

Send a PM to Dubious...he's got a shop manual...he can likely tell you what it is...but no doubt it will come up as FI related...

I called the dealer and told him the code thinking he would tell me what it means. Wrong he told me to bring it in and they ll fix it. B/S i dont want those wanabees messing with my bike. All ill need them to do is clear the computer if it doesnt do its self.

Code 24 = Speed Sensor. De=Ivanize is the fix... (kidding) Looks like you found your own disconnect. The Pcom is not making a solid connection. Look at the wires off the aftermarket parts. Maybe that's what's throwing the code?
Codes can be cleared by turning the key on....is when you know the problem was repaired. But... your code 24 is set in memory in the ECU.

Messing with the bike and spitting codes? Think you can hide things playing with the bike? The dealer can count the codes in your ECU, and if your inline aftermarket parts kept on spitting codes caused by it, good luck with your warranty.
You're better off removing the parts, then swap an ECU with a 14 co-rider if you want to hide your tampering.

THANK YOU everybody how has help. Its fixed. And yes FBA as soon the bike started moving the light went out. It does reset its self once the problem has been fixed. I raised the bike wheel and checked everything on the speedohealer. Put it in gear and gave it alittle gas. The light went out. I couldnt have done it with out the help of everyone. I appreciate when someone takes the time to give me some information. These days not everybody will. If theres ever a problem any of you have. I will greatly do what i can to help.
