Flies Out + Brock Guys: What Map You Using?

Brock supplied me with two maps for the flies out with his Gen 3 exhaust. I installed the
track map rather than the street map. Bike seems to be running on the rich side as I can
smell unburned fuel coming out the back end. Also get an occasional backfire during a
decel. Will probably try his street map. Did a map compare and the adjustment curves are
similar, just that street is a little leaner. May also average the two and see what happens. What map are you running. Do you have any fuel smell in the exhaust? Any backfire on decels?

I'm running the street map. Runs great, but I still get some poping on decel.

Same here...popping is very low and minimal though...his track map is for MR9 with no air cleaner, so yes it would run richer than the street map.

Thanks. Got feedback from Brock. He confirmed your comment FBA - Track map is for oxygenated fuel with the air cleaner out. Brock said it would run rich on pump gas with air cleaner in. Yep, mine was running rich. He didn't think it run so rich I could smell gas, but I can. My bike is probably at the limit of some spec and very different from Brock's. Who knows. Will change to the street map tonight.

The tre has the same effect as removing the flies. You don't do both. Read the thread with Brocks whole explanation.

Read it when it came out. Some say otherwise. Making sure he hasn't learned anything "new." The bike, and mods., are still very young...

Cls the TRE makes the flies open sooner, so If you have the flies out there is no need for a TRE as there are no flies to open sooner.

Sorry, you are incorrect...they open sooner, but they are still closed at lower RPMS...and who's to say what effect they have when fully open as far as any type of turbulence in the intake? It's not the same as removing them and Brock's Dyno charts indicated a difference of about 6 LBS TQ between the flies removed and the TRE, in favor of the flies removed. I also wonder how much effect the servo motor rod has on the whole thing...could it be causing turbulence? Probably not, but we don't know for sure and removing it could be $$$$$ if you break it on the way out...

I vote yes on the turbulence from the shaft.
